You mentioned the Convention Center, but the ECCA owns the Convention Center, the Uht, the Tullio, and the Warner, which is currently undergoing renovations of it's own. They bought the bank next door and are completely renovating it. Not to mention the project going on at the Uht.

Entertainment in Erie is on the decline. I don't see them pouring a bunch of money in to the Freeze.

Hey, Presque Isle Downs is new in town. Maybe hit them up for a sponsorship. They could pay for the turf. They can have their logo right on the turf. I'm sure they will make the 70k back within the first 5 minutes they open.

So since entertainment is on the decline, it would be wise not to invest in entertainment type venues right?

However, they are investing in:

Jerry Uht Park... Entertainment (Waste of money since they can't even fill the 6000 seats they have)

Warner... Entertainment (Only one I don't have a problem with because the renovations/building are needed)

Bayfront convention center... Entertainment and Business (Biggest room have 28,000 sq feet... are you kidding me? can only hold 77 booths!)

Sounds like someone should tell them to stop wasting they money if entertainment is on the decline....

BTW, the downs will be in Summit Township. You think Millcreek will share the revenue? pfffffffff keep dreaming. If the city of Erie ever sees any of that money, it'll be a shock to me.

Oh I never said anyone spent money wisely. But the biggest thorn in my side is that they can spend over 100 million for a convention center, but cannot give the Tulio a major face lift.

Now the sad part is that since the Tulio has turned in to pretty much a dump, they are going to have to compete with the entertainment that Presque Isle Downs will be bringing in.

What ever happened to the renovation that was supposed to take place at the Tulio. I thought they were supposed to add more bathrooms or something like that.
