Glad I didn't set that schedule up in outlook.
Revisions coming ...
Prices went up for season tix too. I'm a bit concerned. I know we won a championship last year, but the arena was far from full ... hell, we couldn't even get the dance team to show up for a playoff game! Raising prices sure won't help.

Come out and help the Legends defend the title of Stark County's only professional team. That makes it sound like there is another team in Stark County that is trying to take their title of being professional...? I know what it should read, but it doesn't.

That didn't occur to me, but you are right. It does sound like that. Point to ponder: If the Legends are the champions of the AIFL and the AIFL no longer exists (yes, Joe ... I know. It exists, but has no teams). Can the Legends technically defend a title in a league that is defunct? Just asking.

It may all work out, I hear you guys may be getting a stray EIFL team that got sick of you-know-who's games.
Good news for Reading, bad for Canton, Erie, and Huntington. Of course, they could always end up in the South, lol.

I don't know that the loss of Springfield hurts the Legends at all. Will have to fill a home game, though, as the Stallions were our "southern" team coming in.

The team itself isn't what hurts, it's hole in the schedule Ron. Remeber our issues last season? All those road games early set the team up for a financial drain, and low attendance couldn't pull us out.
Home games Feb 23, March 23, then May 6. Mix in 4 byes and road trips to Lakeland, Erie, Reading, and Pittsburgh and you have another formula for failure. Hopefully, the Brawlers are let in and they fill that home date on April 6.

Yeah, Sean, I know. My point was at least it was a home game and we didn't have to travel to say ... Tupelo to make it up.
I agree about the schedule. I don't like it at all. There is only so much parading that trophy around town can do. Not to mention that those early road games will do nothing to help get a fan club rolling.
If we had a strong fan club and could make road trips like the guys in Erie and Reading do, we might be able to swing this. However, the fan club is in it's infancy and it looks like it's first word will be "crap".
Wonder what the Columbus Blackhawks are doing?

Or we try what we did in 2005 and allow Erie to have 11 home games

We had a similar problem in Reading last year with the schedule. With all the early away games our fanclub had no time to advertise for club events and we were unable to really make any money as a result. Its a marketing nightmare. Had we had more home games earlier in the season we coulda passed out flyers at those home games and woulda been more successfull. Based on the schedule this year we wont fair much better. Along with that and a few other problems theres a good chance we may fold as a fanclub alltogether.

Sykotyk P.S., you had to be there to get that joke.
