Just to repeat what Scooter said, it was a very very small section of fans that displayed this poor behavior. As for the players encouraging it, it's no worse than your players climbing up into the stands after the fans. Things happen both ways, and people get caught up in the moment. Who ever said I was from Erie? I am saying this on behalf of every team that has played in Huntington. As for an Erie player going in to the crowd, you can only push a human being so far before they are going to push back. Maybe a little more thinking and common sense and a little less beer may do some good for that small section of fans. They should be happy that the player that climbed into the crowd is a nice guy and doesnt get to pissed. People are suppose to get into the game but there is a limit and it has been pushed past that limit at every Huntington home game. Not only the fans acting like this are out of hand but the front office of the Heroes should have something done about it and the referees should do something as well. And by doing something that doesnt mean putting 2 young small interns in front of a group of drunk rednecks! In other words

It could be said that Adolph Hitler got caught up in the moment. If it was an isolated incident it would be different. Your fans have a history of this crap and teams are getting fed up with it. Well said!! Nothing will be done about it. The only hope is that the Heroes will either relocate or get an entire new team, front office and fans

So what happens when you guys greet the buses? And your fans admitted to saying things about player's mothers. That's just wrong. Trash talk is one thing, but when you bring family or girlfriends in to it... that's just wrong.

I agree and DO NOT CONDONE the ERIE player going into the stands either. All that does is escalate an already bad situation.
But the said player is being dealt with and punished for his actions.
This is well deserved and I'm glad that it's been done.
The players belong on the field and the fans belong in the stands.
That's all anyone has to know.

I have a feeling some of them Huntington fans are just mad because their mother and girlfriend are the same person haha sorry i cant help myself on WV jokes they are just too classic.

Hmm, somehow I get the impression that you think I'm taking up for the fans who were involved in the incident. In no way am I taking up for them. I agree that they should have been removed from the game and appropriate action (whatever that may be) be taken against them as well. As for the mother and girlfriend comments, I agree those are areas that should be left alone. However, when people have too much to drink they tend not to think about what comes out of their mouth and to single Huntington out as the only town with a sporting team to have this happen is absurd.

Not saying that Huntington is the only town with this to happen. What I am saying is that Huntington is the only town that takes it to the level they do and nothing done about it.

yea dont say a word cuz you would probly leave out the fact that the video is only of what the player did and not what provoked this action!! Also take note that the player never took a swing or even went to touch a fan, a fan did happen to touch the player though. I understand that Huntington isn't up to date with society but a player on any team in any sport wouldn't just jump the wall and go into the stands to confront a fan, it would take some sort of action to provoke the situation first. try watching everything and not just what you want to see.

ITs rather funny the clip is titled "RiverRats attack fans". The only player that went into the stands didnt touch anyone. So if your watching the same video, how about a truthful title like "drunk ignorant inbred slobs provoke a football player into calling security".

Thats too many words for them to spell, but since you already typed it maybe they can copy and paste.

Typical Huntington, acting like they didn't do anything wrong. Tried to post a text comment on the youtube explaining WHY the player went in to the stands considering the person that posted the video would rather skew the truth.

Comment approved. I have to screen all these comments as children view the videos. Don't want some of the people on these boards using harsh language! If anyone needs a comment approved, please let me know! Thanks

Understandable, considering youtube's standards are pretty low when it comes to censoring.
