This is absurd. No games with Baltimore, a division opponent?
Play Pittsburgh three times, Canton, twice, and Reading twice, but no Baltimore? Meanwhile they can play Fayetteville and Florence twice? Half their games are against the other division.

The Heroes are infact in the Eastern Division with Florence, Fayetteville and Carolina. The league went to having four divisions this year. North, South, East and West.

Thanks for the answer. Seems the league's official outlet should've updated or mentioned it.
Besides the point, why not play Carolina twice, then?

Actually, I see another broken promise from the AIFA here...
Last year, the Heroes were to play an exhibition game at the Carolina Speed in the middle of the season known as the Charity Bowl, where they were to raise money for charities around Concord, NC. There was a much publized debate about the Heroes deciding whether or not they wanted to participate, but the league convinced the Heroes to play by stating that the AIFA would give the Heroes an exhibition Charity Bowl II game the following year and declaring it an exhibition. Despite playing with more than the 20 player roster, the Speed (owned by the same outfit as the AIFA) decided after the fact that the game would count in the standings, but not toward playoff seeding.
The Speed (i.e. Morris and Mink / AIFA) owes the Heroes an exhibition Charity Bowl home game in Huntington. Not only does the Speed owe us a home game, but we only play that division opponent once... and not in Huntington?

okay, the schedule just kinda sucks. One, for disvion play we play the speed once and fayetville twice and florence twice. So there is five total divison games and then 9 out of divison games. 3 at Pit, 2 at reading and canton, and one at Florida and Columbus.
It looks like Huntington gets screwed, but maybe so did every team?

Why would Huntington be in the East instead of Baltimore? Huntington makes alot more sense to be with Canton and Pittsburgh. Baltimore would be closer to all three East teams than Huntington would be....
Oh, I fogot, the owners of the league also own Baltimore...
Huntington got the shaft today.

Baltimore-Reading are too close to break up. It's a good decision not to break them up. Huntington is not that far from the NC/SC teams. Remember, they did jump to the WIFL, which was a purely southern league.

Well, I checked the driving times on Google maps, and Huntington is a shorter drive from Concord (1 hr 51 min shorter) but Baltimore is a shorter drive from Fayetteville (53 min shorter) and Florence (9 min shorter). It could really have gone either way, but it probably doesn't matter since you play Pittsburgh and Canton a bunch anyway.

In a way, you're right because we play 2 more North Division games than we play East Division games. Huntington has strong rivalries with Canton and Reading, and I hate to see that those are no longer divisional games, although we play them more than some actual divisional opponents.
The thing that is irritating is that we have 2 home games against Pittsburgh and no home games against division rival Carolina Speed, which is the very team that also happens to owe us a return exhibition Charity Bowl game after the debacle last season.
Where's Huntington's promised Charity Bowl?

I'd advise to stop complaining about who and when you're playing and just be glad that you have a schedule and are playing games next season!!! THIS !!!!!!!

okay I guess scooter gets warned for his comment?
we are saying it doesn't make sense, all other teams (thus far) play 7-8 divisional games while huntington plays 5. So that makes playoff picture a bit against Huntington if they go by divisional records.
Plus the fact that Huntington's Charity bowl is removed, and Pittsburgh gets one.

I thought we were past all this screwed up scheduling stuff? Apparently not... new season, same old stuff.
And Scooter, I understand where you are coming from since you are an Erie fan, but why shouldn't we expect some sort of professionalism and consistency in our schedule from the league. This is a professional league isn't it? It only makes sense that we should be playing a team in our own division home and away this season.
And speaking of moving divisions, You would think that this move would put a strain on the travel budget since we are now going greater distances to face divisional opponents.
