i apologize beforehand but i cant seem to remember, has the heroes dance team always been called the lady heroes? for some reason, i just stared at that because it didn't look right then i realized why. theres already a word for that, it's called a heroine. superman was a hero, wonder woman was a heroine. why isn't the dance team called the heroines?
i know we joke about west virginia being the land of 2 million people and only 12 last names; but can i assume that most people in a college town like huntington wouldnt automatically think of illegal drugs if the dance team was referred to as the heroines?

actually, I can only think of 11 last names in WV, not 12. jk Yes, they have always been called the Lady Heroes, or the Heroes Dance Team. and for huntington and heroine... I personally don't know much about drugs, being the good person that I am (lol), but I think meth is more of the problem, but you're right, The Heroines still doesn't sound all the right.
