Bernie...you confused the hell out of me.....you said ask and you'd answer...
What's going on in florida we know nothing about? What was Reading told by the league concerning the games vs baltimore? How does Reading like having to play on 1 days rest, right before the playoffs?

And this is a site for the fans, is it not? So don't imply that the fans have to shut up just because they're not sitting behind a desk at a team's front office or owning a team. Don't act high and mighty simply because you're a GM of the team. If you want to come on here to talk to fans, talk. Don't feign superiority.
C'mon, you open yourself up, explain what's going on in Florida.

Talking with M. Mink yesterday. These extra games that have been added count as wins and losses. But, they do not count towards a playoff spot. So Carolina got the win on the charity game. Huntington gets a loss. But, those stats don't count in playoff seeding. As for Gulf Coast, there is a possibillity they will be in the league next year. Providing they have an owner.

As far as the Reading game. We were prepared to go with 20 active and Reading approached us about expanding the roster to 30. We both agreed it would be a good thing for the players involved, the league ok'd it, and the game was played.
Also, all of Baltimore's games count for us, and our opponents, and yes, we are playoff eligible.
Also, regarding our second game with Reading. Again, this is something we both agreed on. With close proximity between the two cities, home games at both sites, seemed like a natural thing to do. We enjoyed our visit to Reading and hope their folks to the same when the come to Baltimore.
If anyone has any questions, they can post them here or send me an email at John.Wolfe@baltimoreblackbirdsfootball.com.
I think this forum is an excellent way to here what fans have to say. I don't post to often, but check in daily. Also try to be active on our own web site's message board and chat room. We try to be very open about our team, so like I said, if you have any questions, please ask.
Thanks,
John Wolfe General Manager Baltimore Blackbirds

All fans care about is playoff seeding and the schedule. If the game doesn't affect the playoffs, then it didn't count. Hell, for the Stampede, i don't count either of the forfeits last year (the Syracuse forfeit _TO_ Steubenville and the league scheduling snafu where Steubenville was issued the forfeit to Huntington).
For historical records it may count, but if it doesn't count for the playoffs then it is an EXHIBITION.

Sykotyk I've got to agree with Sykotyk on this one. is the point of adding it to the standings if it doesn't affect your playoff seeding? Two sets of standings like two sets of books, maybe?

This whole thread has taken more twists and turns than an exceptional episode of 24. I just sit back and say ... What would Jack do? The result could be very bloody.
