I am glad to post another new feature on our site. The AIFA Newsletter. On the homepage, upper left, there is a spot that says "newsletter". When you click this, a 7 page newsletter pops up. I would like to thank Dave(Baltimore) for writing and putting this together. This is just another idea from the fans for the fans. Hope you enjoy it.

Thank you to all those who contributed: Ron Duff, Ron Kozak, Bernie Nowotarski, John Morris and Mike Mink. Spread the word about the newsletter folks. It will only get better.

Thanks Dave! Gives me a reason to keep writing!
What are the proposed production dates so that we can anticipate & prepare for the newsletters release?

The newsletter is beautifully put together and columbus appreciates the warm welcome that was included in it, as i'm sure Augusta does also.

Ron, the goal for the newsletter is to have something out by the first week of each month. This is technically the October newsletter. I would say the last week of October should be the deadline for November's submission.
There are a few things I need as you can tell. Higher resolution AIFA logos. They are a little sickly looking due to the resizing.
Advertising of course. If you know someone who owns a company who would like to advertise in the newsletter, have them contact John Morris. We are not looking to make much money off of this at all, so the cost of advertising will be very very low. The ad spots are small, however I can add full page ad spots if requested, still at a very low cost.
This is a free publication and always will be. All material is submitted on a volunteer basis. The ad sales go to the operations of the league. I do not get one cent for the work on it nor do I want to. This publication is fan driven and it is the fans voices that will be the most dominant in the AIFA TIMES.
As the months go by, the newsletter will get better and better. Thank you again to all who contributed thus far. Keep the material coming.

Might i suggest that since there are so many "Advertising Blocks" available in the newsletter that we fill some of them up with an ad for this site and for any operating fan clubs, Freeze fan club, Leatherheads, Expressfans, Heroes Fans? Just temporarily till the league can fill them up with the paid advertisements. Just testing the new smilies....

I think the ad space goes to the league. Correct me if I am wrong. But Mr. Morris said to add www.aifafans.com to the ad space.

Ad space will be sold. I have added AIFA fans to the updated version as well as correcting Mike Mink's name. Good catch Gene.
I do not personally see a problen with filling the adspace with fan clubs. Obviously, if we seel out the blocks, they will have to go bye bye... or , I can jsut add another sheet of ad space. Why not, they can have some spots. I will need to get their web address and logos.
Gene, check you mybills e-mail addy. I sent you the updated newsletter. Can you replace the current one with the corrected copy?
Thanks

Yea, thats what i was just suggesting for the empty ad space. Just temporary till the league gets the paid ads than the clubs can go.
All done Dave. The NL link is updated.

I do not forsee that being a problem. I will need to clear it with the bosses though. I am sure they will be cool with it.

It's an e-newsletter, correct? There's no additional printing cost, so why would anyone object to having the active fan clubs advertised in it? The fans are producing it for the league without monetary compensation, I think the least they could do was let you guys pimp your clubs...

Don't worry about who is producing it. It is still league sanctioned and needs to be approved by the league. It is technically their publication. I think it will be fine to "pimp" the fan clubs. I will need to clear it first.

If it's their publication, you need to be compensated for it. If not, it's a gift you are giving to the league and as such you can do whatever you want with it.

I am not discussing this any further. I will get approval from the owners prior to making any further changes. Do not concern yourselves with how this is being run.
