With Augusta and Columbus joining the AIFA, does anyone know the fate of the WIFL? My opinion is that it is done. The Titans are the only team left and we may be done altogether.

No official word, but their fan site is down and in turn, no message board. Unless they can get some teams to join their league and soon, I would have to say they are going to board up the windows.

This is just speculation, but they're done. Being such a small league required _zero_ problems coming up, and they couldn't prevent it.

I agree? I hope we can get back into the AIFA. This league was so much fun last season. If they took back former teams they should take us back. We are good for this league.

www.wifl.us/WIFL is dead. Web site no longer works. The url goes to a white page that says, Sorry nothing is here..... That was one quick, quiet and smooth exit. M & M are taking out the competition. They are ruthless, but good business men when it comes to taking out competition. Indoor Leagues beware M & M are on the Prowl.

Starting with 4 teams was the worst thing they could of done. I personally wouldnt have started a league with less than 8. Just another example of a bad business decision.

All and all the experience that the 'wifl' created was great and a good memory.(way better than the 'vipers' (AIFL) and 'wardogs' (af2)
It was the most competative league last year in terms of how close games were.
In columbus we had a great season and it'll never be taken away.
I'm sure this time around with the 'AIFA' (AIFL)being in columbus will sustain as long as the league does. We have better ownership who know how to present their product.

I think with the AIFA's newly built out South division, things should go very well. Next step, making the NORTH just as solid. next year with Harrisburg in place, will round things up nicely. If the league retains all of it's teams throughout 08 and heading into 09, then this product will be very, very successful.
