Why wasn't this posted on another board? It is interesting to know but this is the AIFA message board.

It's under open discussion. So, it's fine. I expect alot more news to come out soon. As I stated the end of last week.

The thing about Daytona. They don't know what they want. Trying three leagues in three years. When they were in the AIFL. I personally thought they had all aspects going for them. From their team, website, to PR. Then they jump ship. They still looked like they had matters in hand. Even with the WIFL. But now, their expectations and bar are set way to high. Could most of the teams(WIFL) done well in the new improved AIFA. I think they could have. This is Daytona's downfall, and probably the downfall of the WIFL. It would be funny as hell if the AIFA put a team in Daytona. Daytona will be the scapegoat of the breaking stories to come. And well deserved.

Great going Zack and Kevin. Those guys should spend a few bucks to fix their bus before they try to tackle AF2 travel. They should seriously consider shutting the team down now and saving themselves further embarassment.

This will fail, believe me we in Tallahasse know from dealing with the Tallahassee Thunder a couple of year back. No fans in the stands will not allow you to succeed in the AF2. You may be able to get away with it in the WIFL or AIFA, but not in the AF2. The AF2 is serious business. They are like the Triple A farm system to the AFL and the other leagues are like single and double A teams. Daytona only needs to look at their numbers in attendance and compare it to the AF2 numbers. They are doomed to fail. Plus you add in the fact that they are not that good. I can see if they won the WIFL championship, but they are the worst team the WIFL. Their arena is not equipped for the AF2 either. These are bad business men making bad decisions.

Yeah, it doesn't seem like the WIFL is going to miss them a whole heck of a lot.

I just don't understand why owners would think a new league woud make everything better. Daytona didn't seem to have a good record or great attendance in the AIFL or WIFL but I guess going to the Af2 will change everything in the owners opinions.

It won't. I'm waiting for the side of the story (this is speculation, which means that I don't have sources, just historical knowledge of the sport, just in case that point is missed somewhere) of the WIFL that says the Thunder were going to get kicked out anyways.
