I have been having an issue about participation with a team in my Fantasy Baseball Keeper League this year, and I'm days away from replacing him. His team, mostly due to inactivity, is in 11th place of 11 teams, but has a list of young studs that would make for a great team next year. The league is currently a points only league, but is voting right now on possibly switching to a points-based Head-to-Head League for next year. We will also be expanding to 14 teams next season regardless of the format. Here is a list of notable players from the potentially available team:

-Carlos Beltran
-Delmon Young
-Jason Varitek
-Manny Ramirez
-JD Drew
-Mark Teahan
-Dice-K
-Cole Hamels
-Pedro Martinez
Lineups are updated daily, and starting positions are C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF, OF, OF, UTIL, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, RP with a 24-man roster and 5 IR slots. The league is run on ESPN.com Fantasy Baseball and is currently in its 4th season. Each team (in non-Expansion years) protects 20 of its 24 players from year to year. The expansion draft this off-season is a complex setup, but is very creative and intelligently designed (if I do say so myself
). Teams will protect 12 players from the Expansion Draft and will place the remaining 12 players into 4 teirs (1 4-player tier, 2 3-player tiers, and 1 2-player tier). Each tier will only lose a fixed number of players from it (2, 1, and 1 respectively), and once the fixed number has been reached, the remaining players will become protected.
Now that I've written an essay about the format of the League, if anyone is interested in potentially taking over for the slacking team, or if you are interested in becoming one of the 3 Expansion Teams for next season, email me at amg06f@fsu.edu ASAP. The person who has already contacted me regarding my football league (info at www.aiflfans.proboards76.com/index.cgi?board=guestsnonmembers&action=display&thread=1182891728 ) will have top priority for the replacement spot.
