It's the day after the championship game and the league website has not been updated. No score, no stats, no story, nothing. The all-star game and championship have happened in the last two days, and there is 0 information about either. Needless to say I'm a little dissappointed. I did read on a messageboard that Lakeland won. Congrats to the T-Bolts.

It is a disappointment and shows that a PR guy is a MUST for next season and beyond. The message board has done a great job getting information to the masses, but it shouldn't be like that.

Finally, in the last half hour or so, the AIFA homepage has been updated using articles written by a Shawn Singleton from the Florence morning news.
In the WIFL- The league, and both team sites were updated with material written by WIFL personel, and the live cast was archived in the time it took the AIFA site to copy and paste someone else's stuff.
Nice try.
But hey, props to Bluehair, and Geno on being mentioned in one story.

I just got in a few hours ago after a 9 hour drive & i am trying to gather my thoughts.

The owners discussed the need for PR personel. This year they were short staffed. Plus had to put out small fires before they had an opportunity to grow into infernos. We as fans offered some of our services, to help out with team stories, web updates, etc. But, as a whole, this year was far better than any other.

Agreed, if you compare last year to this year, there was considerable improvement. I give M&M a pass this year, mainly because the "issues" that arose weren't their doing. If everything falls into place, next year is going to be great.

Yeah, the AIFA was a lot better than the AIFL. But fans not in the know (e.g. 98.9% of them) had more information last year about the AIFL, so a lot of them probably think this year wasn't as good as last.
Perception is reality (re: GLIFL, 2006). Doesn't matter if it's really the case or not...if customers think it's great, then it's great.

I think i'd rather see the operations aspect succeed first rather than the communication. I mean for the people that did care, they were probably on this site at one time or another. Also, I know teams referred our site to people to get scores and info.
For next year communication should definitely be first priority.

Well, yeah - that makes everything tick. But now it's time to take it up a notch.

Hopefully all Indoor Leagues make improvements. Heck, maybe the WIFL will be a 4 1/2 team league next season.......

Another joke about the WIFL having only four teams..... Who's bills all got paid. And their coverage of games?? It's just the best in indoor football I bet the WIFL doesn't make it through the year.....
