During the Freeze practice, I took a look at thestatguys.com website. Some of the guys wanted to check out their stats and they aren't even close. DaJuan Smith only has 3 sacks??! and Dave Smith had a whopping total of 9 tackles for the whole season?! I don't mean to knock anyone, but what the hell is going on?

The teams need to take better stats. Harwood only compiles what he's given.

Oh I know, it's the teams responsibility. I'll have to bring this up to the Freeze org, because it's wayyyyy off.

How about the fact that last week's games aren't even up on their site yet?

Take a look through and see how many "Game not reported" there are. That means that the home team didn't send the stats up. I know there were a couple of times the Legends pulled their stat guys in to watch the game film and do the stats that never got posted.

So I take it there's no fine against the home team if they don't send the stats in... should be a $500-$1000 fine for this. Make it so the owners don't cut corners with stats. I'm talking to you Danville...

Anyone know why the stats haven't been updated since 5/6? 2 weeks of stats are nowhere to be found.
Is this the same problem as last year when the league didn't pay the Stats Guys?
Bernie, you know anything about what's going on with the stats?

no i don't , wish i did, as you can expect my players wanna know why their ststs are not up to date...i do know there are some home teams that do not do a good job with their stats and some never get reported...thats not fair to the teams that do what is called for to have stats....my stat guys do a great job..they have the lg. required program and work everything off the computer system...they provide printed out stats at half time and at the end of the game for both teams as well as fax or e-mail the stats as soon as the game is over to the stat guys and lg. , now i know there are other teams not doing this and i agree then some fines shold be shelled out , but let me ask around and see if i can get any answers to the lack of stat up dates

It's a good sign of poor league structure when something as simple as the statistics can't get done in any sort of manner.

j...i don't really think it's the lg. structure...maybe they are following thru with the fines , but it still the teams responsibility to get a stat guy and do them and send them..so i just think each individual team needs to step it up, but the lg. should then follow thru with the fines for non compliance....end result of this year is just very inaccurate stats, because of a lack of commitment to detail by teams...just my opinion

Here is where the problems arise.
1. The players have no clue on their stats
2. When coaches decide on players selected to the All-Star game it becomes a who's who instead of stats leaders.
3. If scouts were to look at the stats, they would think this was a rinky dink league.
4. makes for a black eye on our league when some teams do a good job and some don't(same goes for thestatsguys)

I took a second to look at the stats myself to see what everyone was talking about, and found out exactly what was going on for myself. I cannot obiously see half of the games, so I check the stats to see how individual players do. Is Shimadajoe right in saying that when players are voted for, it's a contest of who's who vs. actual stats? I know that certain players just stand out for their respective teams, but shouldn't the stats have a final say?
