Everyone missed the most interesting part of the ebay auction. The turf was used by a team in the NIFL. Isnt the NIFL in the middle of their largest expansion plans ever, going to 64 teams this year? I would think one of the other 40+ new team owners would be buying this rather then auctioning it off.. If the 64 teams are actually created, that plane won't even get off the ground. If it does, it'll crash and burst in to flames.

64 teams?!?!?!
It's like the NCAA tourney, only the last one solvent wins the league title.

Obviously that didnt happen which is why I pointed it out. Doesnt anyone follow the other leagues in addition to the AIFA?

I follow every indoor/arena league. So far I've been to CIFL, UIF, and AIFA games this season. And probably seeing an AFL game in a few weeks.
The NIFL is a joke. It's more for comedic relief than it is for indoor football.

IMHO, there has to be a contraction at some point. Perhaps a system similar to minor league baseball ... AAA, AA, A, Etc. I don't know what the answer is (maybe an owner run league like the WIFL). But it's just too much for one person to follow all of it. Sykotyk is the best I've seen at following all of indoor football. He knows about teams in the back alleys of Idaho for God's sake.

There needs to be a way to link these leagues together because their is just to much going on. All the leagues except for the AFL and AFL2 look exactly the same and have the same rules. There is no distinction between these football leagues. Some leagues have maybe eight teams in it. Maybe some leagues should join together and form a 30-32 team league and I think this will make it better for everyone. No major sponsor or even fans take these small leagues serious because there is no major commitment on the part of the league owners or the team owners. Every year you hear a story about a team folding or a league folding. You have to make a major commitment if indoor football is going to ever make it big.

But just imagine the decrease in traveling costs IF the CIFL and AIFA merged and then the WIFL and god forbid, the NIFL... Ohio would have 5 teams (think I counted right) PA would have 5 teams Then the Southern teams have the same deal. But the big thing that stops this idea from ever happening... Too many egos.

And a lack of capital. Could you imagine these leagues not getting revenue from existing teams switching from one league to another and the amount of capital that would be needed if just a few teams ran into financial disarray? On a positive note, you would think that the leagues would all have twice the office staff in order to help run more efficient.

Is there any revenue sharing in any of the leagues?
