Conference Championship Day Packed with Fast Action, Entertainment for Fans
BALTIMORE, MD (July 8, 2010) – When the undefeated Baltimore Mariners (14-0) host the Harrisburg Stampede (12-3) in the American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) Eastern Conference Championship this Saturday, July 10th at 7:00 PM at 1st Mariner Arena, not only will fans be treated to fast, furious, and fun football action, but also a day full of festivities.
“I am very thrilled to make our already stellar game day experience more interactive and festive for our loyal fans and new fans alike. Fans will have events available before and after the game all within walking distance of the 1st Mariner Arena,” said Mariners General Manager Greg Justice.
To mark the first football conference championship game hosted in Baltimore since the 1970 NFL season when the Baltimore Colts hosted the Oakland Raiders at Memorial Stadium, fans can kick-off their celebration at the Official Pre-Game Party at The Nest on Pratt Street, located just one block south of the Arena at 200 West Pratt Street. Fans will be treated to an outdoor concert by “Dirt” as well as $2 domestic drafts, $3 Smirnoff cocktails, and $1 PBR cans.
Once fans enter 1st Mariner Arena, the first 500 in attendance will be provided with Baltimore Mariners 2010 AIFA East Conference Regular Season Champion team photos courtesy of NattyBohGear.com.
Fans can also enjoy special giveaways and promotions in the main concourse from several local attractions, media, and sports teams including Crystal Palace Baltimore – Baltimore’s Professional Soccer Club (including team t-shirts and Palace scarves for a few lucky fans), Maryland Greenhawks Basketball – The First Green Professional Sports Team, Six Flags America, BaltimoreSportsReport.com, “Where the Ball is Always in Your Court,” and CityPeek.com, the region's top guide for the Mid-Atlantic region.
Fans will also be treated to pre-game and halftime performances by the Baltimore Mariners Cheerleaders and halftime will feature an on field car show presented by the Corvette Club of America; the oldest Corvette Club in the world.
