I agree totally it was stupid to think Alaska would work well it is seriously time to find another option for the cavalry i do not believe i will renew my tickets next season I have been loyal and will go to games but cant justify $700 dollars for 6 seats again well maybe we will be able to win a championship this year.

Cavalry awarded "W" in game against Wasilla (Casper, WY) May 30, 2010 ------ The Wyoming Cavalry players did not get the opportunity to travel to Alaska this past weekend, nor did they get the opportunity to play professional indoor football. Due to the negative circumstances surrounding the travel on behalf of the Wasilla Alaska Predators team, the Cavs were awarded the "W". "That's the story - plain and simple. No speculation or editorializing required," says Argeri Layton, Cavs' Director of Business Operations. "We will know by mid week as to the June 5th game. At last conversation, they were still planning to host the Cavalry next weekend." "Although, we are not in the least happy that this has happened, nor do we minimize the impact," continues Layton. "Believe me we are not taking this lightly. However, and I know I will catch heat from this statement, I do not believe the Predators' ownership group needs to be publicly scrutinized, nor should accusations or implications be hastily made. It is very easy to criticize and have all the answers from the outside looking in." The Cavalry have two remaining home games in the regular season - June 26 against the Wenatchee Valley Venom and July 4 vs. the San Jose Wolves. Both contests should provide competitive games at the Casper Events Center. June 26 is Air Force Night. "We are also planning a pre-game tail gate party, sponsored by the United States Air Force and Pepsi," says Layton. More details as the plans unfold."" The annual July 4th party is in full swing with fireworks to follow after the game. Kick off is an hour earlier at 6 pm. "If all things go right, and we get to host the Western Conference Championship game, it is scheduled for Sunday, July 11 at 6 pm." says Layton. More details at a later date. Call 307.577.3030/800.442.2256 for tickets or online at www.caspereventscenter.com

I disagree. They dont have the money. Bottomline they cant afford to be in this or for that matter any other league. No fault of the Cavs. Alaska was a mistake from the beginning. We fans knew it, the league overlooked it & as a result are getting even more bad press. This was partly why the FAB was created but the AIFA didnt really ever care about our opinions. Best thing Wyoming can do is move to the IFL next season. That would basically collapse the west. Might also help them keep their loyal fans content.

My guess is that the statement by Layton is just her taking the high road in this situation. When you go negative, bridges tend to be burned. And I definitely agree with you about getting back to the IFL. I have wanted this since we left the NIFL. The old rivalry games would be nice again. At least some of the fans of those teams that talked some smack had a team to back it up.

It was a no-brainer that travel to and from Alaska would be an issue. They never shoulda been allowed into the league from the beginning. Stupid decision to let them in..... while the layton's aren't casting stones, no one is stepping up to take responsibility either....
