I do feel bad for you Cavs fans. Its no wonder the attendance is dropping. With the lack of talent out west and cancelled games its a no brainer. We FAB member tried to warn the league of this several times but to no avail they went ahead with a west conference. Your ownership seriously has to look at their options next season while they still have a fan base. A move would generate and revive interest from both current fans and new ones. If nothing is changed i cant see how the cavs would survive staying in a conference that their own fans dont care for.

Where did you hear this? The league, Wyoming and Wasilla websites all make no mention of the game being canceled. There is also no mention of that fact in the local Wasilla newspaper, though I do see a comment in an article about their loss to Yakima last week that the reason Wasilla lost was a protest by the players because they hadn't been getting paid. ( www.frontiersman.com/articles/2010/05/28/sports/doc4bfb5e3b0e778459987236.txt ) Wyoming also has a scheduled game at Wasilla next week. Wonder if that will be canceled also?

The Cav's owner is where he heard it from. The Cav's were supposed to go to Wasilla and play this weekend then spend the whole week there so they could play next weekends game as well. I have an email inquiring about it as well..

I just found this on the Arctic Predators facebook page
Due to the beautiful weather on a holiday weekend & after receiving hundreds of phone calls & emails from our fans & sponsors, the league has given us permission to reschedule our game to a date that the majority of our fans can attend rather than only a handful. All May 29th tickets will be honored on June 5th which will be our food pantry drive & Special Olympics night.

Oh wow....Wow. WOW! Oh my God. Wow. You know, it's been a long time since I posted anything here, but ...Wow. I just....Well you see. Wow.
A team "Reschedules" a game due to beautiful weather, AND THE LEAGUE APPROVES IT!
You should all lobby your respective team owners to get the hell off this sinking ship. This league sucks out loud. There are no longer enough words to describe what a joke it truly has been.

lol. I guess this rules any games being played on July 4th week too? Except we want that game. The 4th party starts at 4 outside the CEC, then the Cavs play at 6 and then the parking lot of the CEC is the perfect viewing place for the fireworks at 10. We usually put 4 to 5000 fans in the seats for this one.

By JACK NOWLIN - Star-Tribune staff writer | Posted: Saturday, May 29, 2010 12:00 am Apparently, the Wyoming Cavalry's road to the American Indoor Football Association Western Conference championship won't go through Wasilla, Alaska. Late Thursday, for the second time this season, the Cavs' scheduled trip to Wasilla was canceled after the Wasilla ownership was unable to fund the Wyoming team's trip to Alaska. "Wasilla was not able to fulfill its financial obligation," Cavs' General Manager Mike Layton said. Layton said he and his wife, Argeri, the Cavs' director of business operations, and the Wasilla ownership were on a teleconference with AIFA co-founder John Morris on Thursday night when it was decided to scrap the game. The teams were originally scheduled to play in Wasilla on April 10, but that game was postponed when the Wasilla ownership did not make the necessary payment to Alaska Airlines for the Cavs' flight. At the time, Wasilla co-owner Michelle Deemer blamed it on "a clerical error." Deemer added that she was "very confident that this won't happen again." Calls to the Wasilla office Friday were not returned because the voice-mail box was full. A message on the Arctic Predators' Facebook page stated that today's game was postponed "due to the beautiful weather on a holiday weekend ... " Obviously, that was not the case. The Cavs and Arctic Predators were scheduled to play the make-up game today, with the Cavalry players and coach Dan Maciejczak remaining in Wasilla through the week. The teams would then play their regularly scheduled game June 5. Layton said the Cavs will now practice early in the week while waiting to find out if the June 5 game will be played. No decision has yet been reached on what to do about today's scheduled game. Wasilla is the second Western Conference franchise to suffer off-the-field difficulties this season. Earlier this season, the Ogden Knights announced that they would no longer be able to play home games because of a disagreement between the Knights' ownership and the Golden Spike Arena in Ogden, Utah. While the Knights have continued to play on the road -- they fell to 0-10 with a 94-0 loss to Wenatchee Valley on Saturday -- they have forfeited the remainder of their home games. As a result, the Cavs (9-0) are the class of a very suspect Western Conference. It was a no-brainer that travel to and from Alaska would be an issue. They never shoulda been allowed into the league from the beginning. Stupid decision to let them in.....
