Just saw that Jamel Lewis is officaly a Brown. I've cheered against him since he came to the Rat Birds now I'm going to be cheering for him. He is only signed for one year, stop gap guy while a new running back gets use to the NFL???

my browns needed a another old good rb they are trying to do what the ravens did a couple of years ago make a good team for one year and maybe get lucky and win it all If you follow the Browns at all, you know that's NOT what they are doing... there's too many holes to fill and Savage is trying to build a team for the long haul... witness the signings of some good young linemen. If Lewis' bone spurs are fixed, he could be the guy for at least this season, maybe beyond. With what you have to pay a top-3 pick in the draft, getting Peterson and sitting him behind Lewis would be a waste of a year. Running backs don't need seasoning like QB's do, you just hand them the ball and tell 'em where to run. I don't like the Quinn rumors, but I think they're just that - rumors. If someone behind the Browns has a hard-on for Quinn, maybe this tactic will get them to trade-up, and the Browns can slide back and pick up a solid D-lineman like Alan Branch and get another pick in the deal. Peterson = Wasted money this season, no way. Quinn = God I hope not... Thomas = I like it, but methinks he'll be gone. Johnson = Not another WR in the 1st... history shows this is not a good place to take a WR. BUT, I agree, the guy is a freak.

You can send Quinn down to Miami, I rather take a chance on a rookie than another handme down QB from some other team (trent Green)

Why couldn't Peterson be used like Reggie Bush is used in New Orleans? Also Eric Steinbach was signed with the Browns. 7 years 49.5 million dollar contract. He'll help out the O-Line.

I'm begining to think the Browns are leaning towards Joe Thomas in the draft. Maybe Brady Quinn if Thomas is gone. Won't be a bad idea to wait till 2008 for a RB since that draft is going to be full of them.
