Baltimore Indoor Team Establishes Partnership with Maryland Youth Football
BALTIMORE, MD (May 3, 2010) – The Baltimore Mariners of the American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) are proud to announce their partnership with Maryland Youth Football (MDYF).
“Being a father and Maryland resident, I am extremely honored to form a partnership with Maryland Youth Football. This is a great opportunity to enhance youth sports in Maryland through the Mariners and make an impact in the lives of young athletes on and off the field now and in the future,” stated Mariners General Manager Greg Justice.
Maryland Youth Football was founded in 2004 and Incorporated in 2007. It provides support and services to 330 youth football organization in the state. Currently the MDYF indoor football program has 140 teams and approximately 2,500 players participating at six locations throughout Maryland: Carroll Indoor Sports Center (Westminster), Freestate Indoor Sports Arena (White Marsh), Frederick Indoor Sports Center, Rockville Sportsplex, Soccer Dome 1 (Jessup) and Soccer Dome 2 (Harmans). The MDYF youth indoor football program is the largest of its kind in the country.
"Maryland Youth Football (MDYF) is committed to improving Maryland's football market by providing educational and competitive football events year round. MDYF is proud to be affiliated with the Baltimore Mariners Arena Football team, and together we will help to improve the competitiveness and visibility of youth and professional Indoor Football throughout Maryland," stated Brandon Dunn of MDYF.
The Mariners, who call 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore home and are in their third year of play in the AIFA will provide support to MDYF through appearances by players and cheerleaders at MDYF games, participation by coaches and players at MDYF clinics, and discounted pricing for MDYF players, coaches, and their families.
