He pitched for the Reading Phillies for a decent amount of time. Sad to hear the news.

I heard about it but had no clue he was from here. Talk about hitting home.

Good to hear they figured out why he drove poorly. Twice the legal limit...oh good. I guess La Russa's clubhouse meeting where he said "Do as I say, not as I do" didn't go over real well.

Doesn't MLB have a drug testing program? How did this guy slip through the cracks (no pun intended)? Why didn't some of his teammates step up to the plate when he had an accident three days prior form being hungover? You play with the devil, you sometimes get burned. Very sad indeed that no one saw the signs. Hopefully, this will open the eyes of many MLB players, but, some will still think they are invincible and play with fire. Here's hoping I am wrong.......

Yuck, first it was an accident and now it is proven to be his fault because of drugs. I also heard his brother has been found to be taking steroids(wherever he is now.) I hope this is just rumers. Although in this world today any hero can turn out to be a villan. :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats:
