Unfortunately, we lost our best defensive lineman tonight.... maybe for the season. When Shaine Odell went down, I could see from row 19 the bulge from the side of his knee. Pants were covering it, but he knew to not move it.
Not to say that more SJ players are not of this character, but kudos to Marvin "Boogie" Brown in his great interaction with Odell after Odell was placed on the cart. I love to see hard play combined with great sportsmanship. Thanks again #2.
I honestly thought that SJ would put more points on the board, but the Cavalry defense was stellar tonight, and the Cavalry offense totally exploited the poor defensive back play of San Jose. If San Jose is going to compete for a championship they better do something about their DBs. They maybe fast, but they are not that good!

Thanks Wolfgang.... but I mentioned it in another thread. Assuming that we both take care of business with our other games, a SJ road to the championship means that you must beat us in Casper one time for sure. And with your current crop of DBs, I don't think you will win on July 4th... and unless you beat us on July 4th, you will be playing us again in Casper on July 10th.

It was a good game tonight I do think that there were a few plays tonight like the eye poke on back to back plays the one happened right after Odell went down but all in all the game was good and of course the out come was great for us the wolves players for the most part where very good sports and I want to apologize to number 7 for the idiot that was yelling at you calling you to the stands wanting to fight and to think he was sober oh well where not all morons.

Yes we will have to win in Casper but tonight film will ensure that we dont lose again. I agree the DB's had a horrible night and wont be surprised if we see some new numbers back there...

Definitely a lot of penalties on SJ. The eye pokes not being any of them. I think their big guys were just so tired of being beat, that they were doing all they could to keep our DL off of Omar. I'm not saying that they were playing dirty, just after being beat so much, they were not playing within their techniques and not paying as much attention to those kinds of things as they normally would have. PS. Did we change at the Center position? Way too many deep snaps on the ground tonight. Strand did a great job with most of them.

OK, marking your words.... just remember, you will have to at least double your offensive output, because we WILL score at least 50 on July 4th.

Nxt Wk Wenachee is our concern. The goal of the Wolves is the Championship not to be undefeated. I would rather lose early than often or when it counts if I had to lose at all.

You're correct Wolfgang, next game is what is important for now and I'm more interested in winning the game on July 10th than being undefeated. And of course next time we meet is at the Cow Palace (been there before), so it's our turn to visit your house. But, if there is to be a rubber match to decide where the July 10 game is held, it will be in Casper.
Actually, we have Wenatchee next week, you have a bye and then Wenatchee. All of my posting about us assumes we both take care of business until we meet again.

And if either one of our teams take Wenatchee too lightly, we will pay the price and a 12-1/12-1 matchup on July 4th for the West will be an afterthought.

Shaine was involved in a tackle on the 20 pursuing down field (about a 15 yard gain). When everyone got up, he didn't. He sat there with his right knee partially in the bent position. He didn't seem to be in pain, but a guy like that can take a lot of pain. My view was from Section S Row 19 at the 25. I could clearly see a bulge from the outer knee area of his pants. I don't know if this was "not good knee stuff" or if it was the way his uni ended up after the play. Since it didn't really look normal and he wasn't moving the leg at all, I'm guessing that the bulge was related. Again, he didn't seem to be in pain after they wrapped his leg and carted him off, so I'm praying for him, and hoping for the team that it's not as bad as it seemed.
The bummer is that we already had this one pretty much won.... It happened with about 1/3 of the way into the 4th. But how do you tell a guy like that to not keep playing hard?
