www.wesh.com/sports/11119975/detail.htmlDAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Police will review video of a deadly football game on Tuesday where a Daytona Beach Thunder player died. Police said Javon Camon, 25, collapsed after taking a head-on hit just prior to a tackle on Monday night. Doctors pronounced him dead at Halifax Medical Center. It all happened during a game against the Columbus Lions at the Ocean Center. Nearly 2,000 people attended the game. Camon's teammate and roommate said after the helmet-to-helmet hit, Camon collapsed and never got back up. Police said Camon played defense and is from Port Charlotte, Fla. Investigators said they believe it was nothing more than a freak accident.

Very tragic. I was chatting with some of the people here last night when it happened. When a player is unresponsive for that long it is very scary. I am glad it wasn't televised. My prayers are with his family and with the Thunder family.

Its a sad when something like this happen; MY prayers also go out to his family and teammates, we had something close to this happen in Canton during our 1st season luckly the player lived, but had to have surgery to relive the pressure on the brain

That's a shame when something like that happens. All for the love of the game, and fan enjoyment. My prayers are with his family.

My prayers are with his family, friends, and fans. This kind of reminds me of Chucky Mullins (Ole Miss). :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats:
