Wenatchee Valley VenomThe Wenatchee Valley Venom professional indoor football team of the American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) has finalized its 30-man roster in preparation for the season opening game against the Yakima Valley Warriors at Town Toyota Center on Saturday, March 20th with kickoff at 7:05 pm. The Venom roster is at page 2 of this press release and features designated franchise player and wide receiver Phil Goodman (4th Year pro from Temple University), quarterback Ronnie Simpson (New Mexico Highlands and 2007 AIFA Rookie of the Year for New Mexico Wildcats), and standout defensive backs Kofi Amoah (3rd Year Pro from Delaware State) and Ruschard Dodd-Masters (4th Year Pro from UNLV). Three local players, rookie offensive lineman Matt Martinez (University of Idaho and Wenatchee High School), rookie defensive end Kolt Thompson (Eastmont High School), and rookie quarterback David Mott (Western Washington University and Wenatchee High School) are also on the roster. Other players to watch are rookie linebacker/running back Isaiah Wily (Montana State University) and defensive back/wide receiver Dewayne Patterson (2nd Year Pro from Washington State University). Three New Co-Owners Round Out Wenatchee Valley Venom Ownership Goup With the addition of Scott Tidd, Daryn Klinginsmith, and Carl Prehm, the Wenatchee Valley Venom's ownership group is now complete. Tidd, Klinginsmith, and Prehm join original co-owners Tim Heidelbaugh, Mark Helm, Erik Holmberg, Frank Kuntz, Ryan Lane, Tony Lisson, Kyle Skalisky, Steve Still, and Rob Tidd. Managing members Skalisky (President & Director of Business Operations), Helm (General Manager & Director of Football Operations), and Kuntz (Director of Finances) provide daily oversight and management functions for the team. The Wenatchee Valley Venom is an expansion team in the AIFA (www.aifaprofootball.com) and will begin play in the league's West Division at Town Toyota Center (www.towntoyotacenter1.com) in Wenatchee, WA on March 20th. Their 14-game regular season runs through July 3rd against teams from Casper, WY, Ogden, UT, San Jose, CA, Yakima, WA, and Wasilla, AK.
