You continue to do a better job than the league.
Also disappointed with Baltimore and Harrisburg.

Hey Dan,
Sorry to hear you were disappointed. Appreciate any feedback. We did get good feedback on our webcast last night. Also sent out press release last night as soon as the game ended. Also saw that the AIFA site had the score updated fairly quickly. I did submit the article for posting this AM, but not sure where that stands.
Thanks,
John

You continue to do a better job than the league. Also disappointed with Baltimore and Harrisburg. Thanks for the kind words Dan, but why are you targeting Baltimore and Harrisburgh? The broadcast was great.

Maybe it is because I am a homer, but I really enjoyed Baltimore's broadcast. There were a few dead air moments where John and Steve forgot to talk but it was the first broadcast of the regular season, and I liked Steve's zeal and the fact that he claimed his bias for the Mariners.
It is the Mariners broadcast team and I expect there to be a lean toward Baltimore. John Wolfe played it a little closer to the vest. I thought the two did a great job playing off of each other. it was almost a good cop/bad cop routine. They were handy with stats and with player information. I imagine it was tough to get a grasp on harrisburgs players if this year is anythng like last year, with not having a roster in a timely fashion, and with the lack of names on the jersey to validate that the player on the roster is indeed the player wearing the uniform. It is difficult to prep a team like Harrisburg because of those very reasons.
A suggestion to John and Steve, whenever there is a lull in action and you guys are not sure how to quickly fill the silence, keep the sponsor list handy and throw a few plugs out. The sponsors will love it and it will keep the on-air commentary running smoothly. it also gives your partner time to queue up his next line of thought.
But really, I enjoyed the broadcast and look forward to seeing you guys grow into your broadcasting roles.

Thanks Dave. As the father of Baltimore indoor football broadcasting, I appreciate it. I think you were right on with your assessment. I still have not been able to go through and listen to the whole thing again and do some lessons learned, but I know during the broadcast I could tell there were times we should have been talking and in my brain thinking, "I got nothing." We did intend to do some sponsor reads, but just didn't get those in time, so we ad libbed a few of the places. That shouldn't be an issue next time. Also, basically building up stamina, having never called a full game before. It was a blast though and can't wait for the next one.
