I posted it under "Erie Freeze"..........."sight got hacked" thread. The people that are doing the site wern't finished with it today. I was told it "should" be done within a couple days.

I asked again today. They said," hopefully, very soon." But they are updating the old one with stories and such. I believe the fanclub part is also updated.

Are they just waiting for the new site before they put up anything like a current roster, or even acknowledgment that they played a game, or even the correct league's logo?!?! If I was a casual fan and checked out the site, I'd be a bit concerned that they had folded or something. I understand that it might seem like more work to update a page that might just be going away on Monday, but there's little margin for annoying fans ESPECIALLY when you are still a young franchise/league and still trying to look credible to the general public.

I disagree, I don't see the post being negative. If you look at it from the standpoint of a fan who is not in the loop about the team, then I can understand what Rich is getting at. Even an update about the game friday night would suffice in at least keeping the current site up to date until the new site is used. Maybe even an update about that project would be a nice heads up to fans, so they know a new site is in the works. Just a thought... |

The updates have been on the main page. Coach Arnold story,Chiller Promo, and Fanclub Promo. The website was suppose to be up on February 1st. Then it got pushed back. I can't give an exact date on the new site yet. But, it would take hours upon hours to update players info, coaches, etc. And if they did this, and the new site came up. Then they would have to do it all over again.

That's all I wanted to know. I hadn't even known that a new site was coming until I came across this thread. It's understandable that they wouldn't want to update all the player info, league logo, and some of the more detailed stuff. I was just a little surprised that they wouldn't mention the game result and wondered if they were waiting for the new site to mention that too.
A note to the casual fan (believe it or not, not everybody knows about this board) saying that the old site was being replaced would have been a good idea though for the reasons I mentioned in my other post. That point has been rendered moot by "CLaSs-ErrOr" though.
And to anyone that insinuates that i might be "CLaSs-ErrOr" No. I don't have those kinds of skills, nor would I do something that malicious.
Besides, I have an alibi... I was at the Otters game!

Back to the site... I talked to the person doing the Freeze site, and he said it's coming along nicely; it will be up soon. He's been working hard on it and the Freeze will have a unique intro for fans visiting the site. I've seen it, and I have to say he's right... it will definitely be unique.
