Reading Express coach/general manager Bernie Nowotarski will coach the American Indoor Football Association team Saturday, Jan. 23, when it plays a preseason game in Richmond, Va.
The game will feature players from around the AIFA against the expansion Richmond Raiders. Express players expected to play in the game are backup quarterback Andre Coles and new cornerback Johnnie Taylor.
The Express, the 2009 AIFA champion, will open its season Sunday, March 7, at Erie followed by a game at Richmond Saturday, March 13.
The Express will play its home opener Sunday, March 21, at 3 p.m. against Harrisburg. Prior to the game, players and coaches will receive their championship rings and the championship banner will be raised in the Sovereign Center.
