I cant stand soccer. It amazes me how popular it is in US high schools yet there is a big dropoff after that. I dont see this sport ever overtaking any of our major ones now. It'll always be a straggler here in the US.

I don't understand why some people are so defensive about soccer. Sure, you might not like it, but showing signs of feeling 'threatened' by it just make my laugh.

Myself, i am not threatened by it. I just dont care for it and even more i dont get it. But to each his own. I know there are millions out there who love and support the sport. All the power to them.........

Never felt threatened by soccer, on occasion i'll watch the soccer channel that has all the U.K. games. But Soccer has been trying to get into the mainstream for over 30 years and it's still not going to happen.
