I'd have to think 4 teams from each conference. I was thinking that too (though it will seem a bit like the NHL in the 70s/80s with 16 of 21 teams making the playoffs. 8 of 11 teams here would be playoff bound) Right. Only other option would be to take the top 3. 1st seed gets a bye week and #2 & #3 play each other, winner takes on #1 seed in Conference Championship. But that, imo, would seem unfair for the Division Champ to only have to play one game though it is incentive. Also, not a big difference but i count 13 teams, 7 East/6 West. If they all play. Fayetteville & New Mexico are super quiet....

At this point why not have everyone in the playoffs. Using the regular season to seed the teams in each conference.
