OSC press release www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=3956915Legends Update January 28, 2010 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) Canton Legends Wow. Our last enews went out on Sept, 09. We have worked very hard trying to get the Legends back on the field, but due to a few complications, were unable to do so. As I mentioned the other day on WHBC, the city has allow us to stay in position and play in 2011. This is a ways off and will keep you posted. The downtown in the ecomony is a slow come back, but certainly headed in the right direction according to President Obama last night as many probably watched. A special thanx to Don Degasperis, Ted Rhodes, Dick Brahler, Dumonts Sporting Goods, Image Video, Dennis Lambes, Diamond Sports Complex, Dr. Roger Palutsis, Dr. Michael Thomas, Paul Cipar, Eddie Puskrich, coaches, players, front office staff, dance team, fans and many others who have worked closely with us. We are encouraged for the 2011 season. We have switched gears for awhile and transitioned into the Legends Foundation. Many may know, Anthony Griggs, former Cleveland Browns linebacker with 13 years in the Steelers front office, with Malone University students (SIFE program) spoke at the Juvenile Correction Center and the Babe Stern Center in Canton to kids to encourage them to make good choices in life. This is an After the Bell, 4:20 Daily Choices. If you Google 420, you will find it is Hitler's birthday, Columbine tragedy, national pot smoking day and others. We want create awareness for kids to make good choices each day at this time. Studies show drugs, alcohol, teen pregnancies, unsupervised computer surfing, laziness, obesity and gangs unite at this time, making for poor choices, affecting 24,000,000 fatherless children, unemployment, job and family service needs and the quality of life of many. It is a simple message, but not easy to make good decisions each day. Thanks Anthony, Tabitha, Heidi, Christina and Dr. Szendrey for your efforts and interest in our kids. Great job. I am now heading up our team at IShopStark, Summit and Wayne. We are the leader in online advertising since 2007. Some of you may have recently been introduced to our fine services and web sites. We work closely with local biz to not only brand their name in the community, but offer a deal of the day, link back to your web site and offer a place to sell your products. Over 400 businesses have found it a great way to showcase their specials or get a discount on your next meal. With a data base of over 140,000 emails sent out each work day to Stark, Summit and Wayne Counties and over 300,000 hits to our site a month, we can certainly help drive some traffic to your locations or site. Over the past five years, the Legends have donated over 17000 tix and merchandise to needy and non profit groups. IShopStark.com is much like the Legends also assisting non profit organizations with a new Elite card. Some of our customers have provided very nice discounts and services on these cards used as a fundraiser for non profit groups and churches. So if we can be of assistance to help advertise your business online, assist non profits organizations to help raise money or have an interest in a franchise, give us a call at 330 408 7280. My cell is 330 322 8495. Check us out and make it a great day! Best regards, Joe Hoffman

I get the same newsletter. Just got mine today. But, the last guy that was coming in to partnership didn't have any money. I found this out late last June. He was all set to come in. But when he went to the bank, the guy was trying to ge a loan. It was a no-go, and put Canton behind the eight ball again for this year.

The economy is getting better? Says who?
I would love to see this team back, but it would be the first time I've seen a team go "dark" for a year or two and then come back.

Has IShopStark.com been for sale on eBay? If not, then they aren't like the Legends.
