I see that the new Yakima Valley Warriors have hired Lance Brown as their head coach. Makes it seem more unlikely that New Mexico will be back next season. Who in their right mind would want to coach a team that got next to no support from ownership? Though I wonder why Yakima would hire the coach that led the Wildcats to a league-worst 1-13 record. No one else wanted the job?

Well the record is a reflection of Ownership support. Cant have Players and Coach Moving hotel to hotel and stay with anyone that they could find. because the owner screwed everything up so bad, the man just didnt pay the bills. Coach Brown hasnt even been paid half of his contract and the state is looking for the owner for not paying workmans comp insurance on the players. I only know this from talking to one of the players who got hurt and filed a insurance claim with the state. Everyone is looking for this guy who oned the team. Im glad Coach Brown found another job, says alot about him. he was a great man for dealing with the BS that went on this year. Congrats Coach and GoodLuck. thank you for Finishing the season even if it was bad it means more that you and the players u had chose to stick it out. Wish u best of Luck.
Nmscorpions enjoyed the blogging. And next time dont by tickets to pro sports team thats local and talk smack with out knowing all the facts. Thes guy playing dont make more that 200 a game beore taxes and the coaches arent much paid much better. u trying working for 120 bucks after taxes and have a family in another state. They really are playing and coach for love of the game at this piont even if the are loosing. we could have had nothing to watch all season.
Enjoy Im logging of as a wildcat fan for now.

Nmscorpions enjoyed the blogging. And next time dont by tickets to pro sports team thats local and talk smack with out knowing all the facts... Well, nmwildcats, if you have been following my previous posts, you know I have been blaming ownership all along for the team's problems. I don't know what "smack" you are talking about. I never said anything derogatory about the coach or the players and supported them all along. I don't know what you mean about "next time dont buy ticket...with out knowing all the facts." What does "pro" or "local" have to do with it? What facts should I know before buying tickets? Frankly, I think we were misled about this being a "pro" team in a "pro" league. I've seen kid teams and leagues run better than this. Despite all the problems, if the Wildcats come back next year (I hope with new owners) or another indoor football team appears, I'll probably buy season tickets again. At least it keeps me off the streets and out of trouble
