Fans will be encouraged to offer their views and analysis of all four WIFL teams during the season, as well as to publish feature articles “beyond the typical two sentence message board post.” In addition, users can upload photos and discus other topics such as the state of the game and the latest JT debacle.
During the season, coaches and players will hold “cyber press conferences” in their team’s respective forums, answering questions from fans. Other interactive features are in development.
“Love them or hate them, and in this case I do both, a message board is a necessity for us to communicate with our fans. We want this to be a cyberspot where people come together and have intellectual conversational about indoor football as well as smack talk on who kicked who’s butt,” says WIFL DoC Dan Ryan. “Fans from other leagues are most certainly welcomed and encouraged to post as part of the brotherhood of indoor football.”
