Reading Express GM/Head Coach Bernie Nowotarski announced today that he has re-signed one of his All-Pro Wide Receivers for the 2010 Season. Jeff Willis from Muck City, Florida will again be catching footballs for, The Express.
Jeff is a 6’3” 185lb Wide Out. Jeff will be entering his third season with the Express. Two seasons ago Jeff was a utility receiver for us, not seeing action every weekend, but he stayed with the program for the season and finished strong entering the 2008 play-offs.
Jeff came into the 2009 camp with a great attitude and great work ethic and was excited to get to the competition of camp. His off season work and dedication to his trade paid off. Jeff was named a starter for the 2009 season and what a season it turned out to be for him.
“Jeffery finished the year with 86 catches for 1105 yards. His 12.8 yards per catch and 25 Touchdown catches and 152 points scored were all among the Top Stats in the League and earned Jeffery a spot on the 2009 AIFA All-Pro Team. As well as being a key factor in our Offensive scheme that helped bring The Express the 2009 AIFA National Championship” explained Nowotarski
“Jeffery is a great kid on and off the field. He has worked hard to improve his game. I expect bigger and better things from Jeffery this season. If he continues to work hard and learn the game he will again be a big part of our game plan. Jeffery is well liked by his coaches, team mates and the fans. He’s the type of player and person we want here in Reading.” commented Head Coach /GM Nowotarski.
