I don't think it will come to a surprise to many that they will probably not be playing this year. I have sources at the Sovereign Bank Arena and will call them later this morning.
(In any case I am sure the AIFA will make an announcement regarding this franchise's status very soon! Oh that's right they only make announcements that make the owners look good!)

Trenton doesn't surprise me. The arena there got jilted in 2001, and they've been hyper-vigilant since then with their tenants. The team probably just wasn't able to get their ducks in a row.
Which is probably a sign that other arenas need to be more vigilant, too.

The most telling note is that the AIFA has added Richmond and Wenatchee to their drop down list of teams. The have not added Trenton!
I am sure it is business as usual. Make a big splash about adding two teams (Richmond and Wenatchee) but don't say a word about losing 4 (Florence, S. Carolina, Columbus, Trenton).
Wonder what the ego's will spin when they are down to 6 or 7 teams!
