Well after listening to This Week in the AIFA , it seems as though this franchise will be known as the New Jersey Kings. Its the perfect team name for me, as my last name is King haha. I cant wait to find out more about the Kings.

Might it have something to do with Sovereign Bank Arena?

Being from that area, I don't think those prices are that bad. This is the Philly burbs.

Nice Webpage, So Far. Looking Forward To Seeing More...
Hope They Do A Little More With the Logo, Right Now It Looks A Lot Like The Ny Giants Lettering And I Would Hope That They Could Be A Little More Creative Than What They Are Showing Us Right Now. We Already Have More Than One Team With A Logo With A Shield Behind It.

New Indoor Football team comes to NJ... Ownership has announced that ownership shares in this new AIFA team will be open to the public starting spring of 2009. Each new season ticket holder will be issued one share of ownership in the NJ team. New Jersy team owner Kelly Lockwood had this to say " We are excited to offer this ownership opportunity to our fans and the people of New Jersey." Fan ownership is not new. Some of the original fans of the Green Bay Packers were issued ownership stock and still hold it to this day.
This is from the Kings Facebook page. This is interesting.....

I dont think its really 'stock" though. They arent a publicly traded company. I believe they just want ya to contribute a certain amount in exchange for a certificate and maybe your name in a list of contributors. Not a bad idea. Some folks like the concept of saying they own something like this....

I am a little confused. With Trenton signing an arena lease and Lockwood talking about being excited to play in the AIFA, why hasn't Morris had one of his infamous press conferences or at least a self serving press release. Not sure but it makes for interesting speculation.
Any ideas?
