Oh... There will be an announcement. You have to understand that this is the way the Legends operate. They don't exactly lie to you, but they don't exactly tell you the truth either. Remember last year? We were playing until just about a month before the season was supposed to start. Then, the announcement came that they were not playing. Remember, all of us that has been around this organization told you it wasn't going to happen. This was never going to happen either. The only way the Legends take the field in 2010 and/or beyond is if there is a total and complete purging of current ownership. Then, it might happen.

Heres an idea. And it makes perfect sense that it won't happen. Have the league takeover Canton. Start from scratch. It adds so much less travel that teams will save money. Adds competition to the division. And brings back the premier logo and team.

IF the league were to sell Harrisburg to a solid ownership group, then i'd be fine with the league running Canton. If they would take over Canton now, that would be 3 teams owned by the league. Not cool.
Hell Bernie Kosar might be interested in backing this team since the AFL has imploded on itself. Gotta get guys with deep pockets.
Maybe Randy Lerner would be interested. Then again, he doesn't give a nuts about cleveland football, just european "Football"

Then again, he doesn't give a nuts about cleveland football, just european "Football" Bernie filed bankruptcy recently so I don't think he is in a position to finance anything. There are some Canton McKinley guys in, or formerly in, the NFL either playing or coaching. I am unsure whether they might be willing to join the league. I'm guessing probably not since there has been so much success <sarcasm> owning AIFA franchises. Of course, the point is moot unless current ownership is gone.
