The Augusta Colts are pleased to announce the signing of place kicker Jerome Thompson of Camden, SC. The 6’5”, 225 lb (not a typo) kicker impressed Colts scouts with his thunderous leg, accuracy and with his potential to play defense on the kickoff coverage. Thompson did not attend college; yet has suited up to play for Camden High School, the 2006 Florence Phantoms (AIFL) and had spent some time in the SC Force camp last spring. Thompson also brings a local appeal to the Augusta Colts, as he presently serves as a foreman at the Savannah River Site.
