According to the Legends' main page...stay tuned for announcements. Discuss.

LOL well there aint much to discuss unless you have more to add. Outside of that good news as long as Hofman isnt involved. Nothing personal against the guy but marketing is not his strong point.

I hear it's a Canadian guy that's buying in and Hoff will still run the day to day operations. Which means we should be dark again for 2011.

My research has indicated that the Canton based ownership team that operated the Marion Mayhem of the CIFL, had sold their interest in that club earlier in the year (perhaps last year).
This makes the possibility of the Legends (or an indoor football franchise in Canton) coming to the CIFL for the 2010 season a much more likely possibility. The CIFL is a Canton based league, so it only makes sense that they would have a franchise in this city.
As for the fate of current ownership ... I have heard nothing.

You are correct; they sold the Mayhem a couple months ago. My research, however, has indicated that they aren't particularly interested in a team in Canton right now.

My research doesn't have CIFL in equation.

It's impossible to tell; this will be the silliest season yet.

With my dealing with wheeling this year I can tell you by the end of the season there was talk of the CIFL maybe down to 4 teams, unless things change Wheeling sounded like they had enough of the CIFL and would either fold or look for a different league

The only way minor league indoor football can survive is regional based leagues all under a organizational umbrella to allow for championships, etc. Egos would not allow that to happen in the past. Will economics force it to happen now?

When you don't market or advertise anything and then wonder why no one cares about you...well, you get what you deserve. The same is true with most of these failed teams in every league. Canton would definitely be included.
