To everyone wondering whats goin on?First she pays the players when she feels like it(or has enough money)may be $100 one week or $175 here and there.Secondly the phantoms have no workers comp and a B.S insurance policy.Players are leaving for many reasons not just the (extra money)hard enough to get $250 when she has it.Saturday nites game in columbus Florence was missing,5 starters on offence.Everyone in the league should send Barber a thank you letter for Ruining a team that any owner would love to have had.She dont give a sh!t about the team or fasns or players.She told us b4 the carolina speed team if we didnt like the way she did things to forfeit the game she didnt care but yet the owners of the league back her so players canrt go to other team were they may actually get treated right.It makes the league look like a joke and she is really a joke.

the women has single handily along with her sidekick killed the team the people on
this board can say what they want the real florence phantoms repeat as champions this
year with out her bs we had the #1 offense and defense at one point before she started
f**king it up...All of our losses except the first one to carolina have been due to her bs
check the record reading three starters sat carolina speed a few weeks ago a complete
fiasco due to her and last night in columbus 8 starters gone...so trust us this isn't oh now
were losing let's come up with a excuse no were just explaining that don't take it literal
when we come to town now the show people wanted to see regardless if u were a fan of
ours or not is not here anymore. We were on our way to making history that's the worst
about it

It sucks for this to happen to any team & losing starters does hurt. But of the starters lost one has to wonder how many of them are getting the "extra money" & would they have come to play for the Phantoms had they not been offered extra money? Also you guys were getting this extra money last year too which makes your 08 championship one that you bought, not earned. I dont say that as an Express fan but of a fan who would prefer to see all teams follow league rules & regulations as well as the league enforcing them.
For what its worth i do feel sorry for your situation & hope that an ownership change brings in a financially sound owner who likes to do things the "right" way.

where are your facts in saying about this extra money from last year and yes trust me
when i tell everyone didn't come here for extra as we have said that's not what this is
about we are not paid the standard salaries and treated like nuts by her if this was just
a thing about extra money trust me we wouldn't be complaining....and as far as the
championship being tainted bs I heard the same thing about lakeland in 07 on these
boards and of the mudcats last year I feel like this there are no teams in the AIFA that
aren't doing something some may not agree but we talk around the league and trust me
i have heard things from guys in reading too but that's not what were here to discuss
the point is her as an owner and the way she conducts business and treats her employees
and us is the reason for this

Is your statement alone factworthy? If so, why cant mine be too? I get my info both from within your organization as well as around the league. But no, i have no wriiten facts and its all just heresay but where theres smoke there is usually fire. I do know for a fact that one of your big name players called some teams and was looking to go to them this season but when he told them what he was making with the "extra money" they all balked. I dont know of any reason why one of your players would say such a thing if it wasnt true. Apparantly they think its standard practice but i can tell ya for most teams its not. As far as the 08 championship i heard the same things about the extra money both from within your orgainzation and around the league. No reason to believe it wasnt happening then as it is now and the same rumors are going around. Unless a player actually testifies it cant be proven for sure either way.... |

Here's the thing in indoor football every player lies about what they are supposedly
getting to gain an advantage on the next team that's just how it goes now are they
actually getting that's the question. Now if teams are silly enough to entertain that
hey it's on them...and like I said I don't care if a team admits it or not every team is doing
something for at least one player in indoor football i think we can agree on that.

Now if teams are silly enough to entertain that hey it's on them...and like I said I don't care if a team admits it or not every team is doing something for at least one player in indoor football i think we can agree on that. Well heres the thing about the AIFA. Players are to be paid $200 per game. One franchise player i believe can make $500. So to say they are inflating what they are making to get more from other prospective teams only make them and the Phantoms sound more guilty of the extra money. Rules are rules, and $200 is the going rate NO matter who you are. Theres nothing to negotiate. Housing should also be included with that too. Other perks could be food/meals, gym memberships, movie passes, etc etc. Any team that entertains more than whats allowed by league rules should be fined and or suspended. Just my opinion. |

The Phantoms owners sucks its not news, she is the worst self serving, egomanic in sports. She is so tight with funds. She has an incompotent staff minus a few folks, other than that the rest are a bunchof people who feel indebted to her. Then theres her family (I wont even start on them) And thats the way she likes it.
She is hurting indoor football and needs to be ousted. The guys that left arent in a great position they gave up whatever they were doing even if it was nothing to play ball, and she tainted that dream

If this is indeed the case and I don't doubt you, it is terrible,I have been a Lions fan for three years and I want them to win it all this year,but even if they do i feel it would be devalued if this is happening to one of the better teams in the league, very similar to what happened to the mudcats last year.

If a player isn't getting what has been promised he should just stand on the sidelines or sit in the stands on gameday.
If a player steps on the field it should be to give his all for whatever he is making. That is called pride and intergrity. If the stuff on the field other have discussed is happening it is a shame to the players.
