WR / DB PATRICK CROFFIE
DB / WR PERCY CROFFIE
The Augusta Colts Pro Indoor Football Club is proud to announce the signing of two additional University of Georgia graduates; who are both Athens Academy grads, UGA lettermen, WRs & DBs and “character” men. They are the brothers Patrick and Percy Croffie of Athens, GA.
Patrick, the oldest, lists at 5’8”, 164 lbs and had a modest UGA career; spent primarily on the UGA scout team. Even so, Patrick still managed to post 3 catches for 80 yards (1 TD) in a team scrimmage and made the Academic All SEC team in 2003. Given the opportunity for more playing time in the AIFA; the Colts believe that Patrick will prove to be a very solid receiver as well as an outstanding (community) representative for the team in 2010.
Percy (5’11”, 170 lbs) made his contribution to UGA a few years later when the senior CB helped lead the Bulldogs to victory by assisting in shutting down the high powered offense of the U. of Hawaii in the 2008 Allstate Sugar Bowl. In Percy’s words, UGA “executed to perfection”... “Everyone was talking about how (Hawaii) was unstoppable, and we just wanted to prove they could be shut down. It was the best game we played all year.” (Quote credit to “The big question: Defense is Georgia's top concern”, by Doug Stutsman, Mar. 29, 2009, Macon, GA.) Percy also received the UGA Iron Dawg Award; given he never missed a day of practice, workouts, academic or team meetings during his college career.
