Offense not quite as productive without Strand, but Culver is a good backup.

Yeah it was a sloppy game but a win is a win I suppose they had a lack of control tonight on both sides of the ball.

I'm assuming he didn't dress due to Easter holiday. I don't really know, but he wasn't even on the sideline, out of town travel to visit relatives maybe.

Just read the article after I posted.... No Strand due to death in family. Culver leads Cavalry past Wildcats By the Star-Tribune staff CASPER -- Wyoming made just enough plays on offense and just enough stops on defense to hold off New Mexico 56-34 on Friday night at the Casper Events Center and improve to 4-0 in the American Indoor Football Association Western Division. With starting quarterback Matt Strand not in attendance because of a death in the family, Jamar Culver threw five touchdown passes, four of which went to Dante Dudley. Dudley finished with seven receptions for 110 yards. The Cavs defense came up with three goal-line stops, including one at the end of the first half to preserve a 28-14 lead. The Wildcats cut the lead to 28-20 on their first drive of the third quarter, but AJ Street took the ensuing kickoff 40 yards for a score to push the lead back to 34-20. www.trib.com/articles/2009/04/11/sports/local/7d0b4e6f93b4dc26872575950015ffaa.txt

Wow, condolances go to Strand, but it almost makes it a better game that he wasn't there! haha, Wyoming really is quite the team, and hopefully our West teams will develop into powerhouses like them. Congrats cavs on a tough win!
