I just read on oursportscentral.com that Bubba Diggs will be the coach of the South Carolina Force. There is nothing about it on the team site, and as usual the league has not made a peep. What are the chances of Diggs taking former Augusta Colts with him?

Gonzo They have reported that Anthony Galloway was their HC!
Is he part of the staff maybe? Or did Galloway not work out? Either way i kind of expected to hear of someone signing some ex colts. Hopefully they can call the Force home

Come on Danny! I need links. I actually called them and asked this question before they ever had it up. I dunno maybe he wasn't working out. I like Diggs anyways. He and Gibson have a fairly good rivalry against one another at this point

Awesome! Weird Galloway must have not been cutting it. I wonder if we could see "The Marvelous" Marvin Stone playing for the force?

Great to see a man who has love for coaching the game get his chance to do his craft. Diggs brings class, dignity, and respect to the game I for one am proud to see him back. Good luck coach congrads you are a man among men and with you being with this organization you will make it a Force to deal with. As for Marvin Stone the last I heard he was still taking care of his knee and that was late last year. I know he was suppose to sign with a team in AF2 but not sure. I'm working in Roller Derby less stress and more fun. Anyway good luck SC Force

As far as the organization having "it's stuff together" that remains to be seen. Bubba said almost those exact words to me around this time last year about the Colts, and we all know how that turned out.

www.greenvilleonline.com/article/20090130/SPORTS/901300308/1002/SPORTSAs a member of the 1981 national football champion Clemson Tigers, Bubba Diggs stays in touch with former coach Danny Ford. So Diggs made sure to talk with Ford about his latest career move - coach of the South Carolina Force, slated to bring indoor football back to the Bi-Lo Center this March. "I wanted him to know I had this opportunity," Diggs said. The former starting tight end at Clemson coached the Augusta (Ga.) Spartans to a World Indoor Football League championship in 2007 and figures there's plenty of room for other championship rings in his collection. "This city deserves football," he said at a press conference Thursday at the Marriott, where he was introduced as head coach of the American Indoor Football Association expansion team. "Having played at Clemson right down the road, I'm excited about being here. I've been around the arena and indoor game for going on 10 years. I just hope my experience will help bring a championship to the city of Greenville with the Carolina Force." Since 2000, Diggs has been involved with different levels of arena/indoor football in Georgia, most recently as head coach of the AIFA-affiliated Augusta Colts. After his college football days, Diggs was a 1983 territorial draft pick of the Washington Federals in the United States Football League. When his dreams of playing in the NFL didn't pan out, he returned home to Augusta. "We struggled in the beginning, but I believe in hard work. You're only as good as your players. I believe we can be successful," he said. The Force recently signed former University of South Carolina quarterback Blake Mitchell. Diggs said he'll have no problem coaching a former Gamecock. "Only one day a year I've got a problem with him," he said, referring to the annual Carolina-Clemson football game. South Carolina Force team owner Andre White said Anthony Galloway, who served as interim coach, will remain with the team as assistant coach. White said the Force will open in the Bi-Lo Center on March 21 against the Fayetteville Guard, with the new team's camp slated to begin Feb. 7.

I have heard the Blake Mitchel WILL NOT play this year due to a death in his family. He has returned home to take over family business. Bit I have not seen this in print anywhere.
