The tryout yesterday went well had a turnout of over 40 players, From my view there was some nice looking players there. Coach Hall workded with the linemen and fullbacks and told them at the end that there was 3 or 4 lineman and a fullback that he wants to sign and I say a couple of receivers that I would think they want to bring to camp anyhow

Jamie Williamson isnt going to be yall's QB again this year is he? He signed with Alaska. It looks like we've got indoor football vet Adam Haught lined up for the starting position.

ok. i never thought Williamson was very good when he was in Augusta Jamie wasn't the best quarterback, but he was a very good receiver. He was just overshadowed by Marvin Stone and Anthony Young at that position. He really only played qb until the Spartans signed Rathe. The problem was that he thought himself to be a better qb than receiver and he butted heads with the coaching staff over it.

Jamie was definitely a better WR than QB. However, I think some of that was directly because the Legends offensive line was horrible last year.
I don't care if you're Jamie Williamson or Kurt Warner. You can't throw a pass from your back. There is a reason Jamie led the league in rushing while he was the QB ... death was not an option.
