WOW. At that rate they'll have to average 4,000+ per game just to practically break even. How do you Armor fans feel the team will be received by the community?

I think you might be over shooting a little bit with 4,000 people to break even. How about this, if you get 3,000 fans for a game paying $5 each the math equals out to $15,000. Take about $6,000 for rent and A/C and your left with $9,000. Lets also say the Armor win the game and 23 players are paid $250, take away another $5,750. So after taking away player cost and rent you have $3,250. Another $1,000 for coaches which takes us down to $2,250. I would say any AIFA owner would take a profit of $2,250 per game.
Yes I know this is very basic and does not include ad cost, uniforms, and a million of things. All I am saying is a basic game profit of $2,250 is not a bad thing. Besides you can double the amount of money made per game by charging $10 a ticket.
Either way I think we can all agree here that the AIFA is not a money making venture for any one. If M&M could tell every possible owner they would break even people would be lining up at the door to buy franchises.

The only problem i see with your math is that you didnt include taxes. Uncle Sam is pocketing up to 50% unless there is some sort of arrnagement these teams have that i dont know about. I am sure all of them are run differently and in some cases may be write-offs for businesses. But either way, all gotta pay taxes.

so what your saying is $2250 is not a bad game profit (for home games) = a total of 15750.00 (7 games) Now minus 6750.00 per away game for payroll x 7= 47250.00 minus Travel expenses (average 2000.00) x 7= 14000 minus workmans comp (20K) for a grand total of 81250.00 minus your 15750.00 game profit=65500.00 in the red. That is just a few of the bills. There is not enough space on this board to go into the rest of them. You need atleast 175-200k in sponsorship (cash not trade) plus ticket sells. Owners can't rely on tickets at the gate to survive. Not many teams in the league are getting 3000 people to a game let alone 3000 PAID. A lot of those tickets are comps.

Right, and whether those sponsorships are cash and or tradeoffs every little bit helps. With the economy being what it is sponsorships might be harder to come by especially for these new teams since they dont have a past working relationship with their clientele. Its a bit easier to keep current sponsors than get new ones. Just my opinion though. Every year ya lose some and get new ones....

Seb - Try reading a whole post before you go spouting off at the mouth. I said my math was very basic and did not include a lot of expenses. If you think that any professional franchises main revenue stream is not tickets you’re a moron. Also, if the greater Washington area can't support a team with 3,000 paid attendance per game they won't be around any way. The AIFA's biggest market should at least get that many. Not saying they will but the Armor should.

The comments weren't meant as a personal attack on your post. If you read it that way then that is your own insecurities. Good luck Armor.

I was just clarifying my earlier post, which I would not have had to do if you read a bit more carefully.
