I almost forgot. 2009 will be a completely different ballgame. This new ownership has got things locked down. We have alreagy begun our 2009 campaign. I can not and will not go into details, but things are shaping up very well. Take this as lip service or typical company line if you wish, but when teams come to the arena in 09, they are going to be entering a completely different environment than in 08.
Hopefully if the Rats are still with us in 09, I will get a chance to see ya again scooter, and we can grab a beer or 5. Bring the rat statue too. I will buy him a beer as well.

Ok, I'll admit that were a good number of fans of the bench side of the arena (Thanks to a nice showing from the Erie faithful) . But I honestly believe that that the numbers do need to grow for the team, for that matter ANY team in order to have long term success. I also applaud the return of Coach Simpson to the Mariners. Of course Dave, all kidding aside, I want nothing more than to see the AIFA and ALL of its' member franchises succeed now and long into the future. I consider myself very lucky to have the opportunity to be as involved as I am with the AIFA. There isn't a league anywhere in any sport that has as many true fans as we do here. The mutual respect and admiration that is shown in this league from top to bottom is unparalleled and something that could be a model for the rest of the sports world. The involvement and interaction that the AIFA has with it's fans is truly incredible. For the league to involve us as much as they do is something that sets apart from the rest. It's great seeing the fans, team owners and the league working together. Because when it comes down to it, we're all fans here.

Oh, And Bo Rat? He had a great time traveling with the team and meeting the fans this season. Joe has him for the off season. He's in training and looking forward to the 2009 season! Celebrating the 1st Erie win in Canton! Officiating the debate between Joe and Gonzo in Columbus

Lionsroar... I am so sorry. I have it. I just forgot to send it off (clearly). It is sitting right here in front of me. A thousand apologies.
