Look I made a career this year of picking on Florence. I personally had nothing against them in fact attended three of their games including the Championship. I did most of mine to promote the rivalry between Florence and Augusta. In fact have my Phantoms tee shirt on right now and am glad to see local boys do well. In the past Florence was nothing short of crabby that went all through the organization. The people of the area didn't support them and the team went through several ownership changes. Their first year in the league was horrible and yes the wasn't much to be proud of. I salute Florence on a job well done you came together after lossing four games during the season made the right moves personel wise to get here and brought it home. You stuck with it when the chips were down and kept the lights on late at night. Folks this isnt about winning its about having the right personel at the end. From one brother to another Good job and God Bless You.
Enjoy your moment in the sun. Often I look at my rings from high school, college and think about the past. Can't nobody take this away from you. Have a good offseason remember fun starts again second week in August at least you will have a great selling point with a national championship under your belt.

i hate to break it to them but we played them earlier this year and we had a major off night and we STILL beat them so there is no way you will ever convince me that they are a championship caliber team. i would wager with you that there are 5 other teams that could give them a damn close game with 2 of those teams kicking their asses! Major off night my a$$. We had you beat bad the first half and the Refs gave you the second half......I have a copy of the rule book and game film if you need it. you have gotta be kidding if you think the refs ever gave us anything at all other than a hard time. the refs actually were the reason we beat you by ONLY 1 point!

Hey, dont want to argue but want to congratulate Florence. You guys surprised me this year. I said earlier this year that if Florence was to win the championship they would have to improve and work a lot more...and you did... I thought the champion would either be the Mudcats, Calvary, or Reading. Proved me wrong. Again congratulations to the team, fans, and organization.

we beat quality teams all year How many times do we have to go over this? Aside from the playoffs, you beat 3 teams with a winning record all season. Throw in the playoffs and it's a total of 5. That isn't exactly beating quality teams all year.

But they did what they had to do - winning the AIFA title despite apparently having quite the half-assed organization. Not a great champion for the AIFA, but it's the deck they're dealt.

That's true. They won the games they had to win, and nobody can take the championship away.

For the last damn time we played the teams on the schedule we had too so get the hell outta here with this crap.Have you gonzo or exit322 won anything ever. Regardless of us only beating 3 teams with winning records we still won 10 straight games and went on the road and beat reading's @ss where they had the clear advantage.

No sense in getting upset with the fact that some dont think like you. Heck i'd be mad at over half the people on this board myself. In the end, as long as you and the rest of the Phantoms organization are happy with the season and the way it was orchestrated thats all that matters. Right?

As a player, I played in the playoffs in football and basektball. I turned down a football scholarship to 1-AA Jacksonville St. U. to help out the family business. Now I coach highschool football and track and I used to coach basketball. I've been to the playoffs in all of those sports as well. In other words, You don't know me, I win all the damn time.

Exactly what I thought talk too me when you join the ranks and win a championship in some sort of professional league. lol ha you win all the time please join a team and show your name put your mouth and comments on the line!
And i'm not upset we are more than satisfied with what we have done but some of this stuff on here in particular us playing weak teams. every division had one or two weaker teams except the south we just played who we had too so people trying too discredit that ticks me off a little!

But those other divisions had another godd team; the North was Erie, the South was Columbus and the West had Arizona. Also you are telling people to stop, this thread had been dead for 3 days before you decided to start it again, it seems that you are the one that can't let it go.

As far a divisional toughness i would rank it like this starting with the toughest 1st:
1)North 2)South 3)East 4)West
You guys were fortunate you didnt have to play Missy more than once. Reading had to play Erie 4 times this season and came out of that series with a 3-1 record, playoff included. I'd say that your team had less games against teams with .500 or better records. In fact you had only 4 games against opponents with winning records. I believe Reading played 6.
