What's the coaching news out of Augusta?
Will the team be back for 2009?

Well after reading todays Augusta Chronicle which you can check out on line. We see Diggs is being cheated out of his remaining salary until December as per the orginal agreement. We see he has been cut lose but will have his self resigned sometime in the next few months. ( What part of goodbye wasn't plain enough and finding out from the web site.
Coach Diggs I love ya big guy but it's time to leave. This lack of class, mismanagement is going to only get worst. These folks are out of control and I hope the league steps in before this thing gets worse. The lawsuit talk is running rapid everywhere and buddy these folks have the guns to keep firing for months.
Thats about as stupid as making Washington Road in Augusta a two lane road. Bottom line is money they owe the Civic Center, a few others and who knows what else.
We see they have found two partners and as they put it setting up a budget etc. Hmmm last year they bought the team and took six weeks to design a mascot. Wow we know where the prioritys were. Hmmm lets see sign coach must be last thing to do before opening night.
Folks they made no effort to sign sponsors until late, did the worst job selling advertising ever, pissed off 2/3 of Augusta( make that all of the CSRA) in addition to refusing to listien to anybody and they knew what was up this list goes on and on and I can find others who can add to it.
Oh and my favorite took a team averaging 4700 in attendance and produced 1600-600 all year. Plus if it hadnt been for the show girls people would have left.
They havent done nothing in the community and will probably sell season tickets a week before the first game.
I got nothing to lose this group hasn't got the skill to manage the Civic Center much less work in it. Truth hurts but its in plain view no ax to grind here.
This current group had better realize a few things. They spent last year blaming everything on everybody else told lies tried to discredit folks let me tell you this if you do make it well then we were wrong. If you don't I can assure you they will never be another team of anykind in Augusta.
Some of us if that happens will track you down and haul you in front of a judge.

Wow, this story actually broke huh? That's friggin awesome. I guess I've been sitting on it for nothing. While I'm here I might as well tee off.
How the hell can Sisson have new investors and still owe almost 14g's to the Civic Center? Did these "investors" bring any money with them, or are they just there to hold nifty titles like VP of operations?
Last year the Spartans packed the house at every home game, and this year, the three games I went to probably didn't add up to any one game from last year. If the team had spent less on a stupid looking mascot and a little more on a billboard or radio/news paper spots it might have been different.
Walk away Bubba, let John recruit players and call the plays.

Yea, John leave Augusta now before the rest of this gets out in the open or the villagers start making the pilgramage to the Civic Center with the ropes and torches. Trust me you aint seen nothing yet there is much more.
By the way I have money can I also buy into the Colts? Wait a sec if I did you would be esscorted out of town.
But not before Id bring you up before the entire AIFA on charges along with the signatures of every fan in Augusta before the AIFA BRASS for conduct un becoming the Augusta Colts, The city of Augusta and on the behalf of everybody that ever purchased a ticket.

John's an idiot if Bubba Diggs is not coaching in Augusta in 2009. Mink and Morris are fools if they let this continue in what could be an excellent market.

Look John you don't want to wake a sleeping Giant. We may not all agree on everything but my friend we do agree on one thing you need to go. Pack up your stuff and Rustys suit and get out of town. I'll be glad to call Richmond County Sheriffs office to help you find the way,
I never thought the day would come when I'd say this but Good job Jimmy Young. You may have had your imperfections but, compared to this rocket scientist you are a genius.

SOME of us tried to do things the right way - sponsorships, advertising, meal deals, etc but were stifled by higher ups at every turn. I know you know that, T, but I wanted to clarify it. lol Had I been given an opportunity to DO my job, Augusta's numbers would have been much better, we would have had sponsorships out the wazoo and we would have total support from the community. Instead, THEY don't have much going for them now. The word is out in the community and it's not pretty. Bubba and I are locals and you just don't screw locals this way. Many potential sponsors have already made it known that their support is solely behind Bubba and myself, whether we are Colts or not. Based on a few calls this last week and today, finding a place to play ball may be harder than they think as well.  |

Things are slow right now at the office so I'm going to hold a little contest. The prize is a basket of SC Grade A Peaches. I'm taking a poll Guess the next stupid thing Augusta is going to do this off season. Send your guesses by private message up until Friday.
Ill send these to you via UPS or tell you where to pick them up.
WOW What a difference a few weeks have made. At one time we all didn't agree on anything now we are all banded together for the good of the cause only in America.
I must be crazy but I'd give my season tickets at USC for a chance to help do my part to clean up this mess. John, if you need help moving some friends of mine own a moving company.
I know you folks outside of Augusta think this is silly but this is all about family. This is about standing up for whats right. I was there in the begining and I know what it takes to win.
YOU HAVE TO HAVE HEART.
K I know you did everything you could. I at one time didn't understand you but, you were the offensive line of this team off the field. Regardless of where our paths take us if I ever get involved with a team again I would gladly go into battle with you.
You have vision and heart and a get after attitude. What you lack in the mechanics of the game you can learn.
As for finding a place to play one option I removed today.
