They are yet another organization that thinks winning is the only thing that really matters in the sport. Never mind the fact they won their title against a team that was long since dead because of that minor detail (yes, Pete was a terrible owner, but it was because he fell into this trap that has killed so many teams). Once they figure out fan involvement, community involvement, and those methodologies are the only proven time-and-time-again method of getting this sport to work, maybe they'll get it right. |

Quick update Spent 2 hours in court last week to plead not guilty to a "Trespassing" charge. Nice, could not come up with anything else? I paid for a ticket and get a "Trespassing" charge. My attorney was dieing when I told him. SO have to go back August 6th and get this thrown out, want to thank the Raiders owners for their support, oh wait, they have not given any! ake you game August 10th and shove it!  |

So I get a text from Bob today telling me how he has a meeting setup with HSBC about AF2 for next year for the Buffalo franchise I was going to run for him until he found out he could not afford me. I text him back and say by the way Jeff Calkins is back in town today, I need your support and help with him. My cellphone must have blocked all messages and phone calls from Bob because I did not receive one call or text from Bob asking what he could do. Good riddance!  |

This is a very tough situation, I have built this fanclub from scratch and put a lot of time, effort and money into it. If I continue to run the fan club there will be no free extras next year, I will do it strictly for the fans and the players. Ran into a couple of players last night who support me and are going to come to court with me and since they were 10 feet away can say what they saw. They also told me the Louisana game is not going to happen.

To whom it may concern,
I was in attendance for the June 28th Rochester Raiders game. I have been a season ticket holder for the Raiders for two years. I have chosen to sit in section 122, since the Raiders have been at the Blue Cross Arena. The reason for that choice is to be near the "8th Man" fan club. Their spirited leading of chants including "D-fense", and the drum-banging are part of the enjoyment of SUPPORTING OUR TEAM.
On the 28th, your security guard, who later identified himself as Bob Keeley (with 3 "E"s- his own words) ridiculously demanded that the 8th Man club desist from banging the drum and demanded that they sit and stay seated. I've never seen such demands at Knighthawks games. I've never seen such demands made at Amerks games. Why only at Raiders games? In case you haven't noticed, try watching some football games on TV when this upcoming NFL season starts. Watch some college games. People stand at football games. Your security team's actions on the night of the 28th were reprehensible. Strong-arm tactics reminiscent of jack-booted brown shirts. Why should a passionate fan have to worry about the security at their home stadium treating them with such callous disregard?
The first Raiders game I have missed in the last two years (including the championship game at your arena, last year) was the game on July 7th, Monday night. That night, I didn't buy one over-priced beer. I didn't get nachos or soda for my nephew. I didn't pay for a ticket. I didn't patronize your arena in any way, shape or form. I won't be doing so in the future either. Unless there is some explanation for the horrible display your security team exhibited that night, I will not be a season ticket holder for the Rochester Raiders again unless they leave your stadium. Reign in your power hungry thugs, I'm not interested in paying for tickets, concessions and parking to be treated like an inmate at a correctional facility. You have a decision to make; who is more important to you, your security hack with an obvious power-trip problem, or your fans?

Thanks Freestater, I am guessing this is a copy of the email you sent. I appreciate the help, but at this point it looks like the 8th man will have a new president because I am getting hot air from Bob and no calls to Jeff calkins. Thanks to the Raider players for 3 great years, looks like it is over for me.

Silence speaks volumes, although Doug was spreading Christmas cheer on the CIFL boards. Shame I don't have 300K lying around so we could buy ourselves a rival CIFL team in Rochester and take it to them.
