so it looks like when things dont go the way you want the crying begins. it almost sounds like you used to live in florida! here is something to think about for you,in the southern division the only team that ya'll are better than is the stingrays! d**n it must really suck to be you right now stablemaster. Mudcatsrule, I'm not going to defend Stablemaster. He's an adult and can fight his own battles. But, I can tell you that both times the Cats came to Augusta, we had fans leave because of (some of) the Mudcats' players. They were downright rude and hateful to the fans, VERY vulgar on the field - both in what they said and how they acted. (anyone could go a few blocks over and see the same type of "dancing" anytime after midnight). Yes, I know it's football and not Sunday school. I can tell you it takes a LOT to upset me. But, the way SOME of the players have acted each time they've come to down it downright FILTHY. Had they acted that way or said the things I myself overheard in a mall, on a streetcorner or anywhere other than a football field, any cop in their right mind would have hauled them in. One of them said something as I walked on the field Saturday morning and I jokingly asked if he kissed his mom with that mouth. Most laughed, including me. He said no, I eat your mom's P***Y with my mouth. Way, way, waaaaaaaay beyond normal smack talk and very UNprofessional. Some of them acted and talked like that the entire time they were here. Most of the players I encountered were absolute sweethearts, though. Very polite, considerate and well mannered. I guess it's true that a few bad apples spoil the bunch. Your team has a bad reputation around the league because some of your players really are thugs.

I worked security in front of a club a few weeks back. It was a good club but several patrons thought they would mouth off to a security guard me . At the sametime a cop came by arrested two of them for having a lack of respect for the police.
Some of the Mudcats are mouthy and yes it did look like a scene from a club. Football teams that Ive been part of conduct themselves like gentlemen on the field and off see the words on the bottom of my post. CLASS COURAGE AND THE WILL TO WIN
Look them up understand them you will be better for it.

Okay people, Im sorry you think our players are "thugs". Too bad I've heard this 1,000,000 times already this year. And I hate to break it too ya, but all teams are rough on the road. I never sit next to the visitors bench, why?, because every road team has to be volatile or else they will lose. And if you ever watch NFL Films you will see that 9 times out of 10 players have dirty language and arent very nice to the opposing team or fans. Sorry but while the Mudcats may be rather harsh either in mood or language they are also tied for the best record in the AIFA. I dont think its a coincidence. Besides I dont think you'll have to put up with us much longer anyway!!!

I know you've heard it before. My opinion is based on personal experience. My confrontation with the player was not during game time. It was shortly after they arrived to the arena for walk thru. I was there to get a head count so I could go pay for their flippin pregame meal. Like I said, I know it's football, and I expect that during game time, but not standing face to face with someone in an empty arena, especially since I'm not a player. As far as visiting teams being volatile, you're wrong. EVERY other visiting team we've had this year has been very cordial and polite, at least when a female is present. I make sure that every visiting team is taken care of when they come to town. They have all league required items (and more) waiting for them when they arrive, they receive more than the required tickets if they request it and I am at the team's disposal during their entire visit. To be treated the way I was by one of the Mudcats' was infuriating, but I composed myself and went on about my business. I always take the high road. Maybe ya'll should consider it some time.

MommaColt, I'm certainly not condoning what the guy said, but maybe it wasn't the best idea to get involved to begin with.

Hey, MammaColt, Augusta Colts fan 2 and any others. Sorry if I have seemed mean or anything. But hey I guess I am just mad because of how things are goin for the Mudcats right now. And MammaColt I agree with you, whoever it was that said that is horrible. I cant believe a player would be harsh enough to say that to a fans face. Meh, I've never talked face to face with the opposing team members. Although several opposing players have show boated a lot on the field (which is not bad). Its just strange to me that this didnt happen at all with last years team. Oh well. My two favorite players on the team were Jones and Carter. Now that Jones is gone I guess Carter is my fav. Mainly because of their great attitude and play. :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats:

Not a problem! I really do feel bad for the team, the office staff and especially the fans in Mississippi because of what has happened. I do wish ya'll the best in the playoffs! And hey, don't count out next year yet! Someone may be able to come in and turn things around for everyone.

Not a problem Mississippimudcat1 we are all one big family. I also share in MommaColts comments I hate to see the possible demise of arena football team for the staff, players, and fans. I've been there was heartbroken when the Augusta Stallions of AF2 went under the shed in 2002. The bad part about this was the last season we averaged 3900-5100 over the last four games. We were on tap to make money had a staff of eight and had ads in every major news outlet in the area. Darrell Harbin, was one heck of a GM. We had a fan club with over 67 members and I was nothing but a youngster along with Several current Colts players, cheerleaders and fans. I make it a point to speak to them before every Colts game I attend. One of the office girls got wind of my nephew who had medical troubles and the team adopted him giving my brother and his wife several tickets for games. I remember going on three bus trips one to Charleston SC, Macon GA twice. We had 400 for a playoff game in Macon we were on tap to be great. Frank Lawrence was the class of Arena football he sent us all thank you notes after the season. We were all crushed to hear about the teams demise from a lousy email . I made a promise to myself that Id never forget the fun I had being involved with arena football. I have kept that promise for years. That I would continue to promote as much as possible. Even when team x called I was there I appreciate what their ownership did for me and the way they treated me. Under their reign I felt appreciated and that my oppions mattered almost felt like I owned ashare of it myself. Im not a Colt have spent this year looking outside.
Keep the faith my brother maybe things will get better.
Just remember if they don't you have the memories, hopefully a championship and you have something else the ability to spread the word. The voices and actions of a few can bring about the sucess of many.
Yea even those purple things in Florence ill be at their next game.

I found out about the teams' demise from Mike Hold at Arena Cup in Peoria (Peoria -vs- Florida). I got so drunk after Coach Hold told me the news.
