Now I feel much more at home, with some hatred being thrown. Like i said when you lose to Reading next week make the next week a game against us with your starters. We used AIFA refs last night and they told us the defense was lined up correctly. Coley was the blitzing LB and he blitzed the A or 1 gap everytime, perfectly leagl, the guy coming from the outside was #3 Kwynn Walton(DE)and #51 Dale Buck(DE) You may have thought they were blitizng LB's but they are so fast to the outside I could see why you are confused. Going to watch the game again tonight but from what your starters that made the trip last night told us they could not handle our team speed no matter who played. I am glad the excuses are out, I guess I would try to use them to after a spanking like that by the new kids in town. IF we stick around this league(Hoping we do not to be honest)then we have a nice start to a rivalary.

I understand there was a lot of hatred thrown the Raiders way tonight. I am sorry you feel this way. I guess jealousy finally hit. The truth is 70% of the Erie players were starters and 2 different guys told me even with the starters we could not beat your team, you are just too fast for us. They were amazed at our speed. If you want to use starters not playing as an excuse go ahead, but let's put it out there right now, when you get beat in the playoffs, bring your starters, bring your "A" game, bring it all, hell, we will even go to Erie and play you there, because we don't want excuses, we don;t want weak play, if this league is going to be like it was tonight, then we need to be somewhere else next year, somewhere competive. These blow outs get old. With all that being said, much respect to some of the guys I spoke with tonight, all very nice guys and I wish you the best of luck in the playoffs. Baltimore next week should be interesting. June 28th, what was supposed to happen on that date? Sounds familiar Well I dont know where you got your information but you are way off on your facts and assessment. WE were missing 11 of 20 players last night. Now even with a public school education you can figure thats less than 50%. Here are the players that were missing, just so you know; Rod Rutherford - Starting QB Jarrod Highberger - Backup QB Jon Sitter - Starting Center Anthony Peluso - Starting Guard Darmel Whitfield - Starting WR Eugene Baker - Starting WR JR Cipra - Starting Kicker (Allstar last year) GlenRoy Watkins - Starting LB Roosevelt Benjamin - Starting LB (Allstar last year) Densville Saunders - Starting DE (Allstar last year) DeForrest Hart - KR and DB (Allstar last year) Thats 55% of the team that didnt play so your 70% starter theory is BS. This doesnt include the Three starters that are injured; Ron Idoko - Starting Guard Brandon Jackson - Starting WR Marco Thomas - WR (Allstar last year) So what you played against were 11 guys that have not played football at all this year and in some cases, for a few years. But even they Knew the rules. As for the Refs, 2 AIFA refs and 3 CIFL refs who did not know the rules. Rochester did run an illegal defense the whole first quarter as well as several illegal formations on offense. Your linebackers blitzed from outside the tackle box and your motion man took an inside handoff while inside the tackle box (3 times) which is an illegal formation. As an aside, your 25 second clock operator needs to learn the rules. He was terrible. Your game day staff was very polite and courteous but there is a lot they have to learn as far as the rules. I understand they didnt get a copy of the operations manual but they really need to get it and learn it, there was a lot they needed to do and didnt. I dont blame them though. BTW Caretaker is a great guy and a credit to your organization. So, If you want to keep believing your a superior team, by all means go right ahead. Reality is another thing. You will not get away with that running offense in this league. If our LB's were there you would have been in for a rude surprise. Im looking forward to the next game with the raiders and hopefully it will mean something.

My, my, my.... excuses and this is already our first game. Hopefully one of our last.
The concrete and dasher boards issue was resolved with the coach and Bigdog last night. Dasher boards slide back over and cover that concrete. The whopping 2ft difference in the goal posts should be no problem for ANY kicker. They shouldn't be kicking the ball 2 feet lower anyways. I'm sure our owners are not going to run right out and build whole new goal posts for two exhibition games. As for the lack of players making the trip, that percentage comes from the mouth of one of your coaches. Players wanting an extra paycheck made the game and played. Players who didn't didn't get paid. Simple as that. If you want to bitch about someone's math, direct that towards your coach who gave Bigdog the "guesstimate". The illegal defense arguement needs to be directed to your illustrious refs of your "Buffalo crew". Why does a league with no teams in NY have a Buffalo crew? I doubt there was an illegal defense. Furthermore... if we aren't too keen on this game, or the fact it was even played to begin with, it speaks VOLUMES on the character of the guys in charge of the league... willing to sell you out for a few extra bucks in their pockets.

Plain and simple the owners of the league sold your league like a prostitue. Deal with the league you chose.
The number of guys playing came directly from a player and a coach. I could care less who played, I could care less that we won, it was a meaningless exhibition game. I posted this after reading what was being said about us during the live chat. Do you want me to post it so you have a better idea what I am talking about?

Top 2 QB's don't make the trip...starting WR aren't there....Dinkins who is one of the three starting WR is at QB...
2 of our 3 starting non injured line not there....Where did our coaches come up with 70%...sounds like the ENTIRE starting lineup on O didn't go other than Dinkins who was playing QB. Oh and our kicker didn't go.
And bottom line...this game meant ZERO to Erie. The whole goal was likely to get the backups some playing time and get through the game without an injury.
Whereas on the other side...Rochester was treating this like the Super Bowl.
Go ahead and talk trash Raiders fans...it makes it fun, but don't start bashing the league because of this f-ed up situation.
You have to earn respect..not just show up and demand it because of what you did in another league. Don't get me wrong..we're glad you guys are on board for next year, but there shouldn't be any type of game with you guys this year....most certainly not some pseudo championship game at the end of the year up in your place.

Hey. New guy here. I just want to say (like I said to the players last night) that we appreciate them coming out on their bye-week and giving us a football game. Bigdog said the same. ( I know I was there. I heard him ) Personally, I feel better that Erie used second stringers. I really do hope that the competition is better here than in the CIFL. We realize we won't have any 'real' games till next year. This is just the Raiders ownership trying to do right by the fans that lost out with the whole Flint fiasco. In any event, I think Rochester's got it's first rivalry going. Good stuff... good stuff.

Nobody was talking trash about the game, I was simply reacting to the trash being talked about the Raiders last night during the live webcast. We understand you did not play your starters, I would not expect you to, for these games to be taking place is because our owners has a huge ego and checkbook and M&M desperately need the cash, so they took it. Do you think we want to see these games? Please. 1302 people showed up to a FREE game. Hell we had more people for the NJ game and everyone knew that game would be over by halftime. For what it is worth we had 4 starters not play. We will see if we are here next year how we match up.

The webcast is by the Erie fan club, so take anything they say with a grain of salt. Not like they are not biased towards Erie.

And even told her that they had a good squad. Stated the same facts that everyone knew: One owner is arrogant. Raiders didn't know the rules in a week. So, explain to me the trash.

For games that count, the league is going to have to do a better job of getting officials that at least kinda know the rules.
I always follow the philosophy of "if the flag didn't fly, it's not illegal," but that game was ridiculos.

Its obvious you still havnt learned the AIFA rules if you think the 2 foot difference on the goal posts dont matter. Kicking is a big part of this leagues game and a lot of Uno's just barely clear the cross bar. That 2 feet is huge especially with your low ceiling and huge scoreboard. As for the refs calling the illegal defense, it is the responsibility of the umpire and he was a CIFL ref. The two AIFA refs where Line Judge and Back Judge, very different responsibilities. Yep, the Raiders are in for a huge surprise next year when they go on the road. Not knowing the rules will kill you.
