I understand there was a lot of hatred thrown the Raiders way tonight. I am sorry you feel this way. I guess jealousy finally hit. The truth is 70% of the Erie players were starters and 2 different guys told me even with the starters we could not beat your team, you are just too fast for us. They were amazed at our speed. If you want to use starters not playing as an excuse go ahead, but let's put it out there right now, when you get beat in the playoffs, bring your starters, bring your "A" game, bring it all, hell, we will even go to Erie and play you there, because we don't want excuses, we don;t want weak play, if this league is going to be like it was tonight, then we need to be somewhere else next year, somewhere competive. These blow outs get old. With all that being said, much respect to some of the guys I spoke with tonight, all very nice guys and I wish you the best of luck in the playoffs. Baltimore next week should be interesting. June 28th, what was supposed to happen on that date? Sounds familiar

It was an exhibition game and our guys have the REAL games to still worry about.
If you're gonna bitch because a playoff team playing a meaningless game didn't give you their best shot, then maybe your owner should have bought another team to come up and play you.
Don't take tonight as an indicator of the league. This whole situation just sucks.

Well, it was a good move by Erie to rest their starters. If you ask me, they should have never taken the game to begin with.

I agree...Cause now when Rochester bails on the league because Erie "didn't show up" it'll somehow be Erie's fault.

Not even that, but if I'm Erie's owner/coach and I have playoffs coming up and they approached me with the idea of playing this game and putting my players at risk, I'd tell them where they could stick said game.

Bring on the hate? You beat a team with a bunch of replacement players and now the Raiders think they can beat anyone in the AIFA? HA! I like you guys and all, but you guys need to learn the rules before you play 8 on 8. There is a little thing called illegal defense in our league.

Yeah - what was up with the refs allowing all those outside blitzes?
Dinkins proved why the team moved him to WR last night, that's for sure. Wonder what he'd have done had he had more than one of the team's starting offensive skill players to work with.

Wow, you beat a playoff team in a meaningless game. If you want to keep thinking the Raiders are the best team in the league because they won a game that should of never been played, go ahead, but you will be in for a rude awaking when the Raiders play in a actually game against a team like the Rats or the Express.

Outside blitzes are illegal and weren't being called last night? That starts to explain a lot...

I didn't see the game, so all I have to go on is others' accounts, but yeah, the CIFL has very liberal defensive rules regarding the linebacker and it would have made sense for Rochester's coach to make sure the game was being called by AIFA rules, not CIFL so his team could prepare. It does you guys no good to keep playing by CIFL standards.
The CIFL allows linebackers to drop in coverage, and for them to blitz from everywhere. To my knowledge, both are illegal in AIFA play and the exhibitions are even more worthless than they were thought to begin with if the Raiders aren't using them to transition to the AIFA.

Who didn't play last night? The list as I have it is:
Glenroy Cipra Roosevelt Rutherford Peluso Sitter
Dinkins was QB? He only played QB for like the first 2 games of the season.
If you think you beat the best Erie has to offer, I think you are wrong.

Okay I must chime in............ First and foremost we had less than 50% of our playoff team players there. The best LB in the league was in Florida, All Star C had to work, most of our whole OL/DL didn't make the trip. The best kicker in the league did not go. So, to actually think this blow out meant anything on a meaningless game is the funniest part of all. Our players concidered this a paid field trip to the zoo. Some, not all of the staff at Rochester(whenever we could find someone) were the most arrogant b@stards I've ever met. Onto the game. I'm not sure if Roch got some leniency on flags by the refs for not knowing the rules. But, rest assured, Roch has absolutely no clue on the rules. Their LB's were lined up on the line(illegal). They were blitzing from the outside(illegal). Fieldgoal posts were 12ft high(illegal). The exposed concrete was an added bonus. Not to mention the concert gate endzones. If you crash into it, it moves only to expose more concrete. IE:if you lay a garden hose out, turn it on full blast, the whipping action is what happens when you crash into those boards. Rochester = to think that this game meant anything. Especially to say we are undefeated for 2 years. I'll put up any amount of money that they will not be undefeated next year. Probably not this year if they play a team that isn't in the playoffs. I see them being no better than third place in whatever division they end up at.
