There must not be a whole lot to do in Mississippi if they can write so many articles about a minor league football team.
I pity you guys.

Well as far as sports go, Ole Miss isnt doing much, State isnt doing much, and High School is out, so I guess thats why. Plus The Daily Journal has always done a good job of keeping up with teams in Tupelo. :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats: :smileymudcats:

Don't get me wrong...it's nice to see a local paper dedicating space to the team....Erie seems to get solid coverage too

I understand what your saying marvic25. As long as Mr. Waide is the owner this team will never work. What coach would come to Tupelo and work for this man. Coach Brents had a contract with the Mudcat cwner and the coaches and the team did thier part going 11-1 and won home field advantage for play-off games and that wasn't good enough for the owners. You can not ask more from coaches and the team. It is up to the owner and the mangement team to bring in the money. Tupelo has great fans and the town has supported the team and the coaches, so Mr. Waide I would like to ask you to sell the team and get out of the football areana. This football team deserves more they you can offer. If you can't make it on the fan support that you have from this town. You need to give it up. Most teams would love to have 3000. fans in the stands.

I don't think anyone in the area has the money AND the desire to own the team.
I figure Waide will try to get a local coach that would like to pick up the extra money and experience. With a local coach, like a high school or college assistant, there is no worry on housing expences.
